ROLL CALL <br />Chairman Bugala called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: B. Gorris, T. Morgan, J. Brown, ancl R. Bugala <br />R. Perla arrived at 8:05 p.m. <br />Absent: J. Oring. : . <br />Assistant Law Direetor D: Ryan-arrived-at- 8: 15 p.m. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />J. Brown moved to approve the Minutes of February 26, 1980 as <br />submitted, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(a) Sunset_Memorial Park.Cemeterg, <br />- Proposai to construct locker facility. <br />Bui3df-ng-Commissioner Gundy $ntroduced- the groposal, _and since <br />this .is_. a-buiiding-_in .the-matntenance-and.parking area of the <br />cemetary-; he is requesting- that this- be recommended directly to <br />Council. However, since the building is to be constructed of <br />concrete block, approval of the exterior building material must <br />be granted by the Board of Brsilding Code Appeals. B. Gorris moved <br />to accept the proposed locker room facilities of Sunset Memorial <br />Park Cemetery, seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. <br />(b) Herman's Sporting Goods, 26301 Great Northern Shopping Center #55-54 <br />Proposal to construct additian to rear of existing store. <br />Building Commissioner Gundy e-xplained that the two buildings were <br />to be combined and an additimn of 2,000 sq. ft. is to be constructed <br />to the rear, the brick will match the existing structure. R. <br />Klutchen, Architect, represented the Great Northern Partnership. <br />Since this addition will be visible from the street behind the <br />Shopping Center and from the rear yard of the condominiums across <br />the street, the Commission decided that the proposal should be <br />sent to the Architectural Board of Review. R. Perla-moved to <br />refer the Herman's Sporting Goods pr.oposal to the Architectural <br />Board of Review, seconded by R. BugaLla, and unanimously approved.
