ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Bugala called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: T. Morgan, J. Brown R. Bugala and J. Roberts <br />J. Prokasy arrived at 8:15 p.m. <br />Absent: B. Gorris and R. Perla <br />Also Present: Safety Director E. Petre, Assistant Law Director <br />D. Ryan, Building Comnissioner E. Gimdy, Assistant <br />City Engineer D. McDermott, and Recording Secretary <br />B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />J. Roberts moved to approve the Minutes of April 8, 1980 as <br />presented, seconded by T. Morgan, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(a) Signs: <br />Building Commissioner Gundy presented the signs which were <br />studied an d discussed in conjunction with the Architectural <br />Board of Review Minutes of_April 21, 1980. T. Morgan moved <br />to approve the signs with the conditions of the Architectural <br />Board of Review of April 21, 1980, secon ded by J. P rokasy, <br />and manimously approved. <br />J. Prokasy moved that the Agenda be amended so that item (c) of <br />the Architectural Board of Review Minutes of April 21, 1980 be <br />heard first to accommodate the Safety Director, seconded by J. <br />Roberts, and unanimously approved. <br />Skating Rink, South side of Mill Rd. with one entrance on <br />Lorain Rd. '(Heard . by the Architectural Board of Review <br />on April 21, 1980). <br />Safety Director J. Petre presented his report and one from <br />Captain Brow of the Police Department. This was discussed <br />and then taken point by point later in the discussion. <br />Mr. Petre expressed concern with the added vehicle -volume <br />to an overloaded situation at Dover Center and Lorain and <br />also at Mill Rd. and Dover Center and with the dimly lighted <br />streets in the viciriity of the skating rinke He stated <br />that Mill Road was orginally a dirt road with an asphalt <br />i overlay which is only 18' wide and will deteriorate with the
