ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Bugala called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: B. Gorris, T. Morgan, R. Perla, J. Roberts, and <br />R. Bugala. <br />Absent: J. Prokasy <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy, Assistant Law <br />Director D. Ryan, and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />R. Perla moved to approve the Minutes of May 13, 1980 as submitted, <br />seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(a) Signs: <br />The signs were studied and discussed in conjunction with the <br />Architectural Board of review minutes of Mav 19, 1980. R. <br />Perla moved to approve the Reymar Kitchen Sign, the Auto <br />Protection sign as revised, the Cherandon Plaza sign with 2 <br />colors only, the Fotomat sign with the "Kodak Film" signs <br />removed, and to disapprove the Korean Karate sign as origi- <br />nally submitted, seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. <br />(b) The Uppercut (John J. Jadrych), 24002 Lorain Rd. <br />Building Commissioner explained that this was a shed roof, <br />concrete block addition to an existing garage. Since the <br />existing building is also concrete block, the exterior <br />material will not have to be approved by the Board of Building <br />Standards. It will be located about 350 feet from the ad- <br />jacent residential area. J. Roberts moved to refer the <br />Uppercut Addition, 24002 Lorain Rd. to the Architectural Board <br />of Review9 seconded by T. Morgan, and tmanimously approved. <br />(c) Paradise Pontiac, 25870 Lorain Rd. <br />Referred from the Architectural Board of Review on May 19, <br />1980. Mr. Poorman, Seuffert Construction Co. presented the <br />plans and explained that the air conditioning imit will be <br />placed on the northeas t corner of the addition as recommended <br />by the Architectural Board of Review. T. Morgan moved to <br />approve the Paradise Pontiac Addition as recommended by the <br />Architectural Board of Review, seconded by B. Gorris, and <br />unanimous ly app rove d.
