? <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANidING COMNNUSSION <br />, MINUTES - APRIL 10. 19 79 <br />I. ROLL CALL: Chairman Bugala called the meeting to order at 8 p.me <br />Present: B. Gorris, W. Ohman, --'J. Roberts, R. Bugala, and J. Brown. <br />Absent: J. Prokasy and D. Ryan <br />Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner Gundy, <br />Assistant City Engineer D. McDermott, R. Parry, <br />Cfiairman of the Architectural Board of Review, <br />and Recording Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF TffNUTES: <br />Chairman Bugala corrected the Minutes of March 27, 1979, the <br />second sentence on Page 3, to omit the words "to arrange for a joint <br />meeting", and to add "to speak with him." The sentence should read <br />"Mr. Bugala had been Lmable to contact Mr. Parry to speak with him." <br />J. Brown moved to accept the minutes of March 27, 1979 as corrected, <br />seconded by W. Ohman, and unanimously approved. <br />III, BUILDING DEPARTi•iEidT REQUESTS: <br />(a) Signs - No items. <br />(b) Building Commissioner Gundy introduced Winchester [darehouse, <br />Bradley Rd. Pir. T. Winchester, owner; R. Mongello, Architect; <br />and Fred Bower, Shore West Construction all representated <br />Winchester Warehouse which is to be used for storage of insulating <br />materials and offices, half of which will be used by Mr. Winchester <br />and his staff and half of which will be rented. It was explained <br />that the property is zoned for limited industry, parking is <br />adequate and the plans conform with the Zoning Ordinances of <br />North Olmsted, ,the Commission studied the plans. Mr. Robert <br />McCarthy, property owner across the street from the proposed <br />warehouse, ques cioned the policy of notifying only adjacent pro- <br />perty owners and only one across the street, especially in view <br />of the fact that the neighbors had tried several years ago to <br />have the area rezoned residential. This property had been rezoned <br />limited industry 1962, in spite of the home owners objections and <br />is still mainly residential. Mr. Roberts moved to refer Winchester <br />Warehouse to the Architectural Board of Review, seconded by <br />Mr. Ohman, and unanimously approved. <br />(c) Shell Oil Co., 23385 Lorain Rd. Mr. Jeff Armbruster and Mro L: Turner <br />represented Shell oil Co, which had been granted two variances for
