? <br />.. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLAIJNING COMNIISSION <br />MINUTES - JUNE 129 19 79 . <br />I. ROLL CALL: Chairman Bugala called the ueeting to order at 8:05 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, B. Gorris, W. Ohman, and J. Brown <br />Absent: J. Prokasy, J. Roberts, and D. Ryan <br />Also present: Law Director M. Gareau, Building Commissioner E. Gtmdy, <br />Assistant City Engineer Dave McDermott, Councilman <br />R. Wilomosky, Councilwoman J. Saringer, and Recording <br />Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />B. Gorris moved to approve the minutes as submitted, seconded by <br />W. Ohman, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />(a) Si gns : <br />Eagle Booster Sign which had been placed in Committee at the <br />_ May 229 1979 meeting pending recommendation of the Safety <br />Director. This is a 16' x 8' exterior pl;Twood sign and is to <br />be temporarily placed on'public property at the Brookpark and <br />Lorain Rd, intersection (the triangular area between the two <br />roads). Eugene Petre, Safety Director, has advised Building <br />Commissioner Gundy that the Eag1e Booster Sign location would <br />be unsafe. Carl Hixson of Cutler Sign Co. represented'the <br />Eagle Boosters Club. There was some discussion as to whether or <br />not the sign could be placed somewhere else, and if the size of <br />the sign could be reduced in size and still be effective. W. <br />Ohman moved to bring the Eagle Booster Club out of committee, <br />seconded by J. Brown, and tmanimously approved. B. Gorris moved <br />to accept the Eagle Boosters sign as presented but subject to <br />a location acceptable to the Safety Director, seconded by <br />W. Ohman, and unanimously approved. <br />Golden Gate Health Spa, 23627 Lorain Rd. This was put into <br />committee at the P1a}T 22, 1979 meeting as it had been determined <br />the owners of the health spa did not have permission from <br />the Open Pantry management to use their pole. W. Ohman moved <br />to take the Goldengate Health Spa sib s out of Committee, <br />seconded by B. Gorris, and unanimously approved. Carl Hixson, <br />advised the Commission that no written permission had been <br />granted by the Open Pantry management, and that he would like to <br />withdraw the pole sign, but would like approval for the facia <br />sign.
