<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES - SEPTEt4BER 25, 1979 <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Bubala called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />Present: R. Bugala, J. Roberts, D. Ryan, J. Brown, W. Ohman, <br />and B. Gorris. J. Prokasy arrived at 8:10 p.m. <br />Also Present: Building Commissioner E. Gundy, Law Director M. <br />Gareau, Councilman R. Wilamosky, Chairman of the <br />Architectural Board of Review R. Parry, and Re- <br />cording Secretary B. Oring. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF 14INUTES: <br />B. Gorris moved to approve the Minutes of September 25, 1979 as <br />submitted, seconded by D. Ryan, and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPART24ENT REQUESTS: <br />(a) Signs: Referred by the Architectural Board of Review, 9/17/79. <br />Kadar Realty, 24002 Lorain Rd. D. Ryan moved to approve the <br />Kadar Realty signs as recommended by the Architectural Review <br />Board including the changes recomnended with the 11? to 2" brown <br />band.around the outside of the ground sign, seconded by B. <br />Gorris, and unanimously_ approved. <br />Fragapane Bakeries, Inc, 26825 Lorain Rd. Tabled by the Archi- <br />tectural Board of Review. <br />Prime and Tender, 23642 Lorain Rd. Wall Sign. - llisapproved <br />by the Architectural Board of Review with the recommendations <br />that a sign should be designed to conform to the pole sign <br />which has already been approved. W. Ohman moved to approve <br />thePrime and Tender Facia Sign with the provision that the <br />colors be made in conformance with those of the pole sign, <br />seconded by J. Brown, and unanimously approved. <br />Living Rooms Only, 23786 Lorain - Pole Sign. D. Ryan moved to <br />accept the Living Rooms Only sign as presented, seconded by B. <br />Gorris, and unanimously approved. <br />Rad Air, 24260 Lorain Rd. Ground Sign. The ground sign had been <br />disapproved by the Architectural Board of Review. W. Ohman moved <br />to approve the ground sign, with the determination of the Safety <br />Director that the sign does not constitute a safety hazzard, <br />seconded by R. Bugala, Roll call on I4otion: Messrs. Ohman, <br />Bugala, and Gorris, aye, Mrs. Brown, and ?4essrs Roberts, Ryan, <br />and Prokasy, Nay. Motion denied. D. Ryan moved to disapprove <br />the sign as presented, since it does present a safety hazard and <br />also, because it has the appearance and effect of a temporary <br />sign, seconded by J. Prokasy.
