ROLL CALL <br />Chairman Rafeld called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. <br />' PRESENT: Chairman Rafeld, Mr. Roberts, Mr. Prokasy, Mr. Ohman, Mr. Ryan <br />and Mrs. Browno <br />ABSENT: Mr. Bugala <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Law Director Gareau, Assistant City Engineer McDermott <br />and Recording Secretary Spencer. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MTNUTES <br />Mr. Prokasy moved to correct the minutes of July llth under Section III <br />paragraph (a) correcting the misspelled word "interspersed." Mr. Ohman <br />seconded and motion passed. Mr. Prokasy moved to accept the minutes as <br />corrected, Mr. Ohman seconded and motion passed. <br />III BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS <br />No items. <br />IV. NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISIONS <br />(a) Ashland Petroleum Company request to combine two parcels (232-11-24 <br />and 232-11-30) on current site of Redhead Gas Station, 27447 Lorain Road. <br />Mr. McDermott announced that this is a follow-up from the July llth meeting. <br />Ashland Petroletun presented plans for remodeling the above gas station <br />at the July llth Planning Commission meeting. The Commission referred this <br />to the Architectural Review Board. Now Ashland Petroleum is requesting <br />permission to combine two parcels into one. Mr. Prokasy observed that the <br />footage of the gas station exceeds 150 feet for the minimum 25,000 sq. ft. <br />required for a comnercial lot. Mr. Prokasy also observed that Ashland <br />Petroleum is within agreement of the zoning-ordinance so the Commission <br />has no choice but to agree to combining the two lots. <br />Mr. Roberts moved to approve the combining of the two parcels on current <br />site of Redhead Gas Station at 27447-Zorain Road. Mr. Ohman seconded and <br />motion passed. . <br />(b) Ashland Petroleum Company request to combine two parcels (231-31-2 and <br />231-31-3) on current site of Payless Gas Station at 24046 Lorain Road.- <br />This is also a follow-up to the July llth Planning Commission meeting and <br />the request is almost identical to the above requeste The location of the <br />gas station was discussed. Plans and blueprints were reviewed by the <br />Commission and Mr. Roberts inquired about a shed which was shown on the <br />blueprints. It was determined that.the shed was for storage purposes and <br />was out of view from the general public.
