Roberts called the meeting to order at 8:00'p.m. <br />Present: J. Roberts, R. Bugala, B. Gorris, J. Brown, W. Ohlman <br />_ 'D_. Ryan arrives at 8:20 p.mo <br />Absent: J. Prokasy Also Present: Law Director M. Gareau, Assistant Engineer'D: McDermott, <br />Recording Secretary Oring. REVIELd AND CORRECTION.OF MINUTES: <br />P1r. Petre sent a memo to correct Page 1, Section III (a) to read: <br />There were 48 accidents on Lorain Road between Coim try Club Blvd. and <br />Canterbury Road (instead of Great Idorthern Blvd) from December 30, 1977 <br />to October 25, 1978. In view of the traffic problems in this area, a <br />policy prohibiting left hand turns into and out of the properties on this <br />section of Lorain Road is now under consideration by Council. Page 4 <br />section IV (a) third line should read ingress and e ress instead of <br />regress. Page 4 Section VII (a) delete the word 11for approval". <br />Sentence should read Ordinance 78-145 passed by council requiring that <br />all requests for signs be referred to both the Architectural Board of <br />Review and Planning Commission except for real estate signs and temporary <br />signs. Page 4::Section VII (b) insert after the second sentence. "This <br />200 ft. adds to Mr. Amsdale's 500 feet drop back from Lorain Rd. which is <br />presently zoned commercial. Lorain Road is generally zoned 500 fte drop <br />back for commercial use. " <br />NEW DEVELOPMENTS AND SUBDIVISION: <br />(a). Mr. McDermott, Assistant City Engineer9 introduced the State Wholesaie <br />assembly plat to combine the three parcels into one. Mr. McDermott <br />pointed out that this had been requested by the citye The commission <br />reviewed the plans that had been approved at the Planning Commission <br />meeting November 14, 1978. Mr. Roberts asked Mr. Gareau if any <br />restrictions could be placed on combining the three parcels to en- <br />courage State Wholesale to find another exit from the property. <br />Mr. Gareau responded that there was no way this could be accomplished. <br />He explained that State Wholesale could go directly to the Cotmty <br />Auditor's office to have the parcels combined, b ut that State Wholesale <br />was following the proceedures set up by the city. J. Brown made a <br />motion to approve the State Wholesale Subdivision on the north side <br />of Lorain Rdo Between Silverdale Rd. and Sparkey Lane the assembly of <br />three parcels namely: 232-26-8, 232-26-16, and 232-26-15 into one <br />lot. Mr. W. Ohman seconded and the motion passed unanimously. <br />Chairman Roberts stated again that he hoped State Wholesale would <br />find a,solution to the traffic problem and Mr. Alex Kanareff, rep- <br />resenting State Wholesale, responded that their traffic consultant
