<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTID <br />OCTOBER 4, 1978 <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS - MINUTES <br />Chairman Ledvina called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Chairman Ledvina, Mra Remmel, Mr. Horvath, Mr. Fairfield and Mr. <br />DeVoto <br />ALSO PRESENT• <br />Building Commissioner Gundy, Law Director Gareau and Recording <br />Secretary Spencer <br />Mr. Ledvina moved to correct the minutes of September 6, 1978: Case number <br />six - last sentence shoul.d be changed to read "motion passed, request for 12' <br />fence denied. Variance to enable construction of 6t fence granted." <br />Mr. Remmel moved to accept "the minutes as corrected. Mr. Horvath seconded and <br />motion passed unanimouslyo <br />l. tdilbert and Margaret Heine, 24049 Frank Street, Request for special <br />permission to add to a non-conforming dwelling. Special permit required <br />by ord, 62-33 section 1231002. <br />Mr. DeVoto entered the meeting at this time. <br />Chairman Ledvina requested all.interested persons to assemble before the <br />Board. The oath was administered. Mr. Remmel stated that, after making <br />a site inspection, he observed that there is ample room (79 feet beyond <br />proposed extension) for this addition and he made a motion to grant this <br />special permit. Mr. Horvath seconded and motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Gareau entered the meeting at this time. <br />2. Robert Kidd, 3431 Clague Road. Request for special permit to add to a <br />non-conforming dwelling. Special permission required by Ord. 62-33 <br />section 1231.02. . <br />Chairman Ledvina requested all interested persons to assemble before <br />the Boardo The oath was administered. Site plan was distributed to <br />all Board "members. This is a 600 ft. deep lot and has a 224 foot front <br />setback. Mr. Horvath made a motion to grant this special permit. Mr. <br />Fairfield seeonded,and motion passed unanimouslye <br />3. Ervin W. Gietz, 6054 Dorothy Drive. Request for variance (1133.13). <br />Violation of location of tool shed which is Ord. 62-33 section 1161.01. <br />Chairman Ledvina requested all interested persons to assemble before the <br />Boarde The oath was administered. Mr. Ledvina observed that Mr. Geitz <br />has a 225' deep lota He is requesting to put his tool shed 20' within the <br />woodsbehind his house which will still be 70 or 80 feet from his rear <br />property line. Owner of property directly in back of Mr. Geitz came <br />before the Board to question the exact location of the tool shed. She <br />thought it would be directly back-to-back with her tool shed but the Board <br />assured her it would not. Mr. Horvath moved to grant a variance to allow <br />the construction of the tool shed so as the front of the shed will be no <br />closer than 71 feet from the back line of the residence as per the application. <br />Mre Remmel seconded and motion passed unanimously.
