Rol1 Call <br />Vice Chairman Rafeld called the meeting to order at 8:30 p.m. <br />Present: Vice Chairman Rafeld, Secretary Evanoff, 14essrs. Zurawski and <br />Frokasy. <br />Also Present: Law Director Gareau, Building Commissioner Gundy, City <br />Engineer Childs and Recording Secretary Hodgins. <br />II. Review and Correction of Minutes <br />Mr. Prokasy moved to accept minutes of July 26, 1977 as received. Mr. <br />Zurawski seconded and motion passed. <br />Members of North Olmsted High School Government Class were welcomed. <br />III. Building Department Requests <br />(a) Court Club North <br />Zoning Board Action at its September 7 meeting was reviewed by Mr. <br />Gundy. Councilman Saringer and several Bentley Dr. residents as- <br />sembled before the Commission. No one came forth representing the <br />developer. Mr. Prokasy moved that request of Court Club North be <br />resubmitted to Architectural Review Board by Building Commissioner <br />Gundy in compliance with Zoning Board variance granted at its meet- <br />ing September 7, 1977• Mr. Evanoff seconded, and motion passedo <br />(b) Renovation of Existing Great Northern Mall <br />Building Commissioner Gundy referred to Aizgust 15, 1977 minutes of <br />Architectural Review Board. iVlr. Shur came bef?>re the Ccmmission <br />and stated he takes exception to recommendatiors outlined in the <br />above minutes; specifically the all red letters and that there be <br />no logo. Several merchants have agreed to size, but now cannot <br />get permits, because all are not red and some have logo. Main p.-o- <br />blem is color as some signs are already made. Size of signs is <br />correct, based on size of frontage of each building, none exceeds <br />code. Mr. Evanoff moved to place question of color of letters, <br />logo and review of recommendations of Architectural Review Board <br />minutes of August 15, 1977 in committee for vote at next Planning <br />Commission meeting. Mr. Zurawski seconded, and motion passed.Mr. <br />.Frokasy moved, regarding Architectural Review Board minutes, that <br />rubber belted baseboard treatment be approved on cedar columns at <br />existing Great Northern Niall. Mr. Evanoff seconded, and motion <br />passed. <br />(c) Mr. Gundy presented plan of Southland Corp., represented by Mr. <br />5mith,for northeast corner of Porter Rd. and Lorain Rd., present <br />location of a Sohio Station, approximately 27650 Lorain Rd.
