City of North Olmsted <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEAIS <br />June 1t , 1915 <br />Chairman Ledvina called the meeting to order at 7s30 p.m. <br />Present: Chairman Ledvina and Messrs. Olson and Duskeyo <br />Also Presente Building Commissioner Gundy and Recording Secretary Hodgins. <br />lm Ronald B. Deatherage, 28410 Magnolia Drive. Request for variance (1133•13). <br />Request for permission to install windmill. Permission to be considered by <br />this Board under Ord. 62-33 Sections 1133•11 and 1133.12. <br />Present: Mr. Deatherage9 and neighbors. Witnesses were administered the <br />oath. Case and appeal were read. N,r. Deatherage made presenta- <br />tion showing prints witn detailed assembly etc. Structure to be <br />located on 30 ft. telephone pole. There is 57 in radius for <br />blades of the three propeller system. Operation taas explained. <br />Mr. Duskey mentioned aibrations, sound and safetye Gary Dill, <br />next door neighbor said his patio will be L0 ftm from the pole, <br />in Vermont such a Uiindmill lost a blade, he mentioned the speed <br />of the revolutions, cited homeowners' restrictzons in the area, <br />detraction from propert,y values and questioned battery storage <br />of the el.ectricity thus generated. After further discussion NIr. <br />Olson moved to deny permission on grounds of incompatibility in <br />the neighborhood along with the safet,y factor. PZr. Duskey second- <br />ed and motion passede <br />2. Kenneth E. & Sandra S. Skeels, 27441 Lusandra Circle. Request for variance <br />(1133.13). Requast for special permit for tool shede Special permission re- <br />quired by Ord. 62-33 Section 1151.04. <br />rresent: Mrm Skeels-. _Witnessawas_administered the oath. Mr. Ledvina and <br />Mr, Duskey had made inspection. Case and appeal were read. Plans <br />are to build 12 ft. x 12 fta tool shed to match house. Pictures, <br />sketch and plans mere examined. Tool shed would be screened par- <br />tially, well screened from rear with more landscaping planned. NIr. <br />Duskey moved to grant special permit for tool shed in preferred lo- <br />cation (northeast corner on plan) per proposed plans. Mr. Olson <br />seconded and motion passed. <br />3. Joyce Mattina, 28030 Southern Ave. Request for variance (1133•13). Request <br />for special permit for tool shed. Special permission required by Ord. 62-33 <br />Section 1151.04. <br />Presents Mr. and Mrs. Mattina who were administered the oath. Case was read <br />and plans for tool shed were shown. There are many trees on the <br />property and deep lot. I`ir. 01son said there are no other sheds on <br />the street. P1re Qlson moved to grant special permission for tool <br />shed providing it is centered on the propertv and is 15 ft. off <br />rear property line and prop2rly shrubbed.
