Vincent, Thomas J. <br />Doran, Thomas Biadas arid Richard NIongello. <br />Mra Wgllner and PZra Perrone of the Ohio Shores Construction Co,,pre- <br />sented a plan for the proposed subdivision off of Clague Road,.south of <br />Clifford. The.plan was discussed and Nlr. Ballard Vincent made a motion that <br />the preliminary plat plan regarding the subdiyision be approved. The motion <br />was secorxied by ilr. Biadas. Roll call: "Yeas" Kadylak, LaPonza, Vincent' <br />Doran, Biados and Mongello. <br />A committee was formed to inspect the property composed of Mr. Ballard <br />Vincent and Mr. Thomas B?""°-?s . Kadylak enlightened the people present as to iahat had been hap- <br />pening to the proposed apartment development submitted by Mr. Biskind. <br />Mr. Monbello read the letter that was written to the Planning Com- <br />mission by Mrm Zower' Superintendent of Schools, regarding his position on <br />the apartment development. - Mr. Kadyla.k called upon PZro Wilke Vrho was formerly with the State <br />Highway Department for his interpretation of the feasibility of a new access <br />road being provided from Brookpark Road: to the Industrial zoned land. <br />Mr. Wilke explained the reasons why it was made a limited access <br />road. -He then said that if the Council of North Olmsted would approve another <br />access from Brookpark Road and submit their request to the State Highway <br />Department, it is feasible that the request trould be granted. <br />N1r. Kadylak then read the letter received from the Chamber of C.ommerce <br />which said in part that they are in favor of keeping the land zoned as it is. <br />However, another vote is to be taken expressing the Chamber's feelingsa <br />Plr. Kadylak then submitted a letter from the Empire Sroring Compan,y <br />who has applied f or a building permit for an.industrial building in the <br />industrial zoned area. They are desirin; to build a light indust'r'ial plant <br />of around 20-259000 sq. ft. Cost of construction of about 11o00/sq. ft. Iqr. Deam <br />from the Empire Spring Company suggested that the Planning Commis.sion.act quickly <br />because their company would have to start constrLiction soon. <br />Dr. Peck of the North Olmsted'Jacees submitted petitions,with 650 sig- <br />natures against the apartment development to the commission. <br />At this time Mr. Biskind submitted a letter from the Sears Roebuck Co. <br />stating their desire to enlarge.the present Sears store into a Class A store. <br />He also aubmitted a letter from the F.H.A. regarding financing f or his apart- <br />mentsv The contents of the letter stated that the F.H.Aa-would not finance <br />the apartments if limited industry were located in i;hat area. <br />Mro Kadylak called upon Nirs. Nicholas, Councilman from Ward IV; for <br />consideration of her opinions. She stated that the F.H.A. would approve <br />- 1 -
