MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED - SEPTEMBER 10, 1963 Present: Ballard W. Vincent, Leslie B. Macs, Anthony T. LaPonza, Donald Ford, Richard Mongello, and Joseph P. Kadylak. Absent: Thomas Stack. Also Present: Alex Kanareff, City Engineer. The meeting was called to order at 8:10 P.M. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read. ORDINANCE 63-178 A communication was read from the Clerk of Council in regard to Ordinance 63-178 requesting a recommendation from the Commission. Due to the fact that this was past the 500 foot depth from Lorain Road it was put into committee until the legal description contained in this ordinance was connected with a certain parcel of land. NORTH OLMSTED APARTMENTS A communication was read from the Clerk of Council asking for a recommendation of the Commission on the revised plat for this proposed development. Mr. Saks and Mr. Goldberg were present before the Commission to present them with a copy of this plan. Discussion ensued relative to this revised plan showing the relocation of the swimming pool and one of the apartment buildings. The limitation of the exten- sion of the road will be put in as shown on the plat presented at the September 10 meeting contingent upon the recommendation of our legal department. It was moved 6y Mr. Mongello, seconded by Mr. LaPonza, that the plot plan be approved contingent upon an i.nterpretation from the Law Director for the dedication of the road without improvements. YEAS LaPonza, Mongello, Ford, Vincent, Macs, Kadylak. MATHEWS - PROPOSED NEW POST OFFICE Mr. Daniel P. Mathews appeared and asked the Commission what we were doing about a new U.S. Post Office in North Olmsted; he indicated the Post Office Department was very interested in his property which is mainly located in the rear of the Gastown Tas Station and was near the point of taking bids on the building. Mr. Vincent has talked to Mr. Forbes of the U. S. Post Office and he said they did not have any plans right now for a post office in North Olmsted and anything of that nature would have to come from Cincinnatti, Ohio. The Planning Commission informed Mr. Mathews to have the U.S. Post Office send a letter stati ng thei r desi res. C & M DEVELOPMENT A committee meeting was held and it was the opinion of the committee that it could be approved if Kennedy Ridge Road would be moved so that it would line up with Mastick Road. No action will be taken on this proposal until a representative of the developer comes before the Commission. IIARI ICI FCFI Mr. Kiesel was advised that the Commission was requesting an area plan of the area surrounding this proposed development which he will present to the Commission at their next meeting.
