Appellant: Mr. John P. Patton, 5535 Decker Rd., N. 03msted, Oe <br />Ms. &Yirs. J. P. Patton attending meeting. <br />Ref: Permit to erect a home with detached garage on a 1ot <br />:Loca.ted between 5522 and 5508 Porter Rdo, N. Olrr.sted, Oa <br />A 5' Side I,ine Variance is requested. (ZTiolation of <br />Zoning Ord. 62v33, Chapter 1161, Sub-Chapter 1161.019 <br />Page 1T7.) . <br />A,ppellant stated that variance is requirecl for the better type hame he proposes. <br />Lot is on1.y 40' wicie. He would have to build a smaller, cheaper home if variance <br />is not granted. <br />Councilman JohnWest submitted a statement that he is definitely opposed to <br />th.e granting of the variance and recvmmended that request be disapproved. <br />Neighbors bresent and strcngly opposing request were: <br />Roger Loclchart 5519 Decker - who presented a petition signed by other <br />neighbors opposing granting of variance. <br />Mr. Dunhaar! 5451 So Porter <br />Mre Millhouse 5508 S. Porter <br />kir. &kirs. Stevens 5553 s. Forter <br />Mro 5tevens stated that the appellant is not the original oVrner of tnis lot; <br />original owner coul.d not build on this 1at; purch.ase Y?y the appellant was for <br />profit. <br />Mr. Nudelman of the Mathersan Bldg. Co,, present at meeting and an appelJ.ant <br />for building another home in this area, did not agree with neighbors and so <br />stated. <br />IVIr. Klini.te moved that request be denied, motion seconded by Mrs. 1+sian, approved <br />by r7r. Byers. Messrs. Greene and Smith abstained from votingo Variance denied,
