Fomd, Secretary Anthony T. LaPonzap <br />and membera Jack Foltz, Ballard W. Vincent, and Jamee Prokasy. <br />Absent: Joseph P. gadylak. <br />Also Present: Bruce xitchen, Law Director; Del Zimpert, Safety-Service Director; Richard <br />La.bas, City Engineer; Alea Mangani, John West, and Henry Caster, Councilmen. <br />A communication was read from Mayor Chriatman requesting a recommendation of the Commission <br />as followsg "To provide for sale of second hand motor vehicles, that thia ordinance be <br />amended to include the requiremen$ of a new cax franchise and that a restrictive definition <br />he given to the use of the wor:d "showroom", and aZso recommend that there be a 50 foot <br />minimum setback requirement on Lorain Eoad.te Diecuseioa easued relative to thia request <br />and the Commission was advised by the I,aw Director that this would not be proper legally <br />and a committee wae formed with Mr. Ford as chairma.n to study this further and have a report <br />at the next meeting. <br />Mr. Macs reported that Mr. gac'?ylak was attending the Ohio Planning Conference in Columhus <br />on behalf of our Gity. <br />He also reported on the joint meeting with Council in regard to the sewer prograp held <br />March 19 and also on the meeting Monday, March 23, in regard to the pl:Attin <br />,g ordinance. <br />GE08GE WELSCH SUBDIVISION <br />Mr. Andreano presented te the Commission the George Welach Snbdl*isiQn which ha,s a.lready been <br />approved on a preliminaxy basis, presenting also the vacation plat an.d the dedication plat. <br />Discusaion ensued and it waa moveci by Mr. Ford, aeconded by Mr. LaF'onza, that since th3s <br />developer has met vaith a11 of the requirements of the Commission sat down on March 118 that <br />thie ahould beLaccepted, includ.ing the new plat, the dedie2tion plat, and the 4acation plat, <br />contingent vn the approval of the City Engineer. 7EA$ Ford, LaPonza. Andreano presented plans for Talp Subdieision, aleo apnroved on a preliminary basis. <br />Diacussion ensued relative to this proposal and it wa.s moved by Mrs 7iz!cent, seconded by <br />TIre Foltz, to approve this plat as preseatecl for recording purposes on],p. YEAS Pincent <br />Fo1tz, IaPonza, Macs, Ford.- <br />REZONING BUTTERNITT RIDGE EOAD <br />Mr. Pope presented the Commission with a petition from the residents in thia area as <br />requested showing a little over 50% approval which was givea to the secretary for studp. <br />Discuesion eneued relative to this proposal with Mre Pope and membere of Conncil present, <br />and Mr. Pope waa adv3sed tha.t there would be a comnittee formed with Mr. LaPonza as <br />Chairman and Mr. Pope would be advised as ta the recommendatione of the Commission at a <br />later date. <br />Mr. Maca adviaed the Commission th2t Mr, Richard SarLds of I,ake City Land Development <br />Company called him to requeat that the Commission hold his proposal in abeyance until he <br />requests a.nother audience with the Commission
