? s CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO PLANNING COMMISSION July 9, 1968 I. Roll Call The meeting was called to order at 8;07 p.m. by Chairman Jack Esgar, Those present were Messrs. Jack Esgar, Kurt Richards, James Leonard, and Tom Fabek. Absent: Norman Musial and Edward Byers. Also present: Carl Bo11ui and f3ob Svoboda, Regional Planning Gommission; Mr. R.ansbury, Engineering Department; and Bruce Kitchen; Law Director. ?----- - c=-=.? II. Reading and Correction of Minutes Minutes of ineeting of June 27, 1968. An omission in the minutes should have included, °'the Recording Secretary agreed to send minutes and actions of Loning Board of Appeals to all members of Planning Commission". Section IV, Para, (a) Mr. Cliney name should be spelled Kleine> Mr. Leonard moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of June 27, 1968 and to approve as corrected. Mr. Richards seconded the motion. Ayes: Leonard, Richards, Esgar, and Fabeko III. Old Business (a) Regional Planning Commission Report - Mr. Bohm and Mr. Svoboda presented detailed land use layouts for Lorain Road. This would include uses of the land on Lorain Road through 1980. The names of: aJ.l the parcels are shown on the layouL-. TFiey are also study- ing school sites in the North Olmsted Park area and other school sites for the Board of Edlication. He stated a draft of the fiscal analysis would be ready for the next meeting. An additional 1.8 acres of land is available for the recreation area that is required under the cluster develop- ment. The parties involved did not have their letter of agreement ready for this meeting, Mr. DiBenedetiCo and Mr. McCrone stated the letter oP agreement would be sent in three days, stating this was a unified proposal. Mr. Fabek made the moL-ion that the prelim- inary plan for Blossom Land Corporati_on dated July £3, 1.968, which includes Sandy Ridge Subdivisions 4, 5, 6, and 7, be approved on the contingency of a report from the Law Director. Seconded by Mr. Richards. Ayes: Leonard, Richards, Esgar, and Fabek. (c) Brookparlc Extension and Rezoning - Mr. Leonard reported he is against the Brookpark Road Extension and rezoning because of traffic problems caused by the proposed road between Saxon's ? Restaurant and stores to the East. He is opposed to the rezoning of about 18 acres of land. Mr. Bohm stated we had an excess of land zoned commercial for our requirements to 1980. He felt there is a need for the Brookpark Road Extension. There is not a need for a road between the Saxon Restaurant and the si:ores to the East.
