r' <br />' CITY OF NORTH OZ14STED - BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />R.eg.tlar Meeting held at City Hall ----- March 6, 1968 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:35 by Mr. John Roberts, Vice-Cha.irman. <br />Those Present: Mrs. Eian., Mssrs. Greene, Roberta, Force].lini <br />AIso Present: Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner <br />The minutes of the 2/7/68 meeting were approved as written. <br />1. Appellant: Luben Georgieff, 23393 Alexa.nder Road. Request for variance to <br />install a 61 fcnce along a portion of the patio. <br />Request is in violation of Ordina.nce #62-33, Section I15I.04, fence <br />not to exceed four feet in height. <br />Present; Mr. Georgieff <br />Mr. Georgieff explained that he wished to erect the fence so as to afford his fatniiy <br />some nricacy. He presented plans for the members' consideration. A 20' portion of <br />the f'?ence; would require a variance. Mr. Greene moved to grant the varia.nce for 201 <br />of fence; seconded by Mrs. Eian and passed. <br />2. AppeT2ant: Paris Penix, Jr., 6071+ Porter Road. Request for variance to install <br />a41 fence across rear of property which fronts on Decker Road. <br />Request is in violation of Ordinance-#62-33, Section I151.043 fence <br />along the street Iine may not exceed 30" in height. <br />Present; Mr. Penix, Mr. Brady <br />Mr, Penix explained tha.t he wishea to continue an existing 41 chain link fence around <br />unfenced portion of his property to protect his garden from pets and children. Mr. <br />Brady stated that he had-no objeetion. Mrs. Eian noved to grant a variance for a 41 <br />fence; seconded by Mr. Greene and passed:. <br />3. Appellants Columbia Estates, Request for variance to erect a house at 4779 Carsten <br />Lane with a front setback of 471. <br />Request is in violation of Ordinance #62-33, Seetion 1159.01, minimum <br />distance from the street shall be 501: <br />Present: Mr. Wamsetler <br />hSr. Waznsetler explained that the house is designed to flozr with the arc of the cul-de-sac <br />and tha.t one.edge of the house would be 471 znEtead of 50' Setback. Mr. Greene moved <br />to grant a 31 variance on S/L 38 Carsten Lane; seconded by Mr. Forcellini and paSSed. <br />4. 9ppellant: Robeels Restaurant, 26$04 Lorain Road. Request for variance to erect <br />a sign in excess of the permitted square footage. <br />R.equest.is in violation of Ordinance #62-33, 5ection 1225.02. <br />Present: Mr. Krumleigh, Mr. Schneider (from Bellows Sign Co.). Mr. Sta,nley King <br />Mr. Krumleigh presented plans for a 106 square foot sign. He explained tha.t IO square <br />foot of th3.s sign was air space, leaving a toical of approximately 96 square feet. Mr. <br />King objected to the size of the sign.
