;. <br />. .? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED - BOARD OF ZONING APPEA.LS_ <br />Regular Meeting held a.t City Ha.ll -- June 20.; 1968 <br />The meeting w-a.s called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Vice-Cha.irrnan John Roberts. <br />Those presentc Mssrs. Greene., Forcellini, RDber•ts <br />Also present: Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner <br />The minutes of the 6/5/68 meeting were approveci as written. <br />It was a.nnounced that the Kroger Co., Southeast corner of Lorain and Stearns Road, <br />has withdrawn their request for eariance. <br />1. Appellant: James R. Dufa].a.., Request to erect a house on Permanent Parcel #232- <br />34-44 & 96 Ranchuiew Drive with a4g.61 rear yard. <br />Request is in vivlation of Qrdina.nce 7#62-33y Section 1163.01 which <br />requires a 501 rear yard.. <br />Presents Mr. Dufala <br />Mr. Dufala explained that he has six children and needs a Iarge house. The house -will <br />be comparable to others in the area, Mr. Forcellini moved to allow a 1.41 varianee; <br />secended by Mr. Greene and passed.- <br />2. .Appellant: Ma.rilyn June Parsnick, 5106 Sdhitethorn. Request to instzll two sections <br />of basketweave f ence 61 high. <br />Request is in violation of Ordinance #62-33, Section 115I.04, fence <br />not to exceed 41 in height. <br />Present: Mrs. Par:nick, Mr. Hasrier, Mrso.Schill, Mr. Bednar <br />Mrs. Parsnick expla.ined that the requested fenee would protect her neighbor's property <br />when her sons play basketball. Mr. Harrier and Mrs. Schill who live next door on the <br />side affected have beautifuI rose bushes and fl.ower gard.ens that could easily be <br />d,wmaged. Mr. Harrier, Mrs. Schill and Mr. Bednar stated that they have no objections. <br />Diseussion was heZd regarcling whether one section of fence would be sufficient instead <br />of two. Mr. Forcellini moveci to grant a va.riance for one $t section of 61 high fence; <br />seconded by Mr. Greene and passed. <br />3. Appellant: Snider Building Corporat3.on. Request to erect a house a.t 6729 Chadbourne <br />Drive on an irregular shaped lot that is smaller than the minimum squa.re <br />footage required. <br />Rea,ue:t is in viola.tion of Ordinance #-62-33, section 1157.01 which <br />reguires a minimutn area of 10,.850 saua.re feet. <br />Presente Ward Bennett from Snidcr Builders, Saul Biskind., Mr. Smith, Mr. Wood, Mr. <br />Hofflnan, Mr. Atma, Mr. Yanke who now owns the Staruch property, Mr. Ostesrian <br />Mr, Benr?ett explainec3 tha.t the prospective purchaser chase this lot because of its <br />location. The NE corner of said lat is not available. Mr. Biskind stated that they <br />have tried for nea.rlg four years to purchase this property and that the present owner <br />(Nfr. Yanke) refuses to sell. Mr. Yanke explained that he bought this property because <br />he wanted space for his boys anct that he ha.s no intention of selling now or in the
