CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />July Il,., 1970 <br />1. Roll Call <br />The meeting was called to order at 8°05 P.M. by Chairman James Leonard. <br />Those present were Mssrs. Leonard, Richa.rd Nelson, Donald Ledvina, Edward <br />Brewer, James Davis, Edward. Byerso Absentc Kurt Richa.rds. Mr. Brewer <br />moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Richardr; seconded by Mr. Byers and <br />unanimously passed. 11Iso presento Mr. Ransberry9 Assistant to Acting <br />City Engineer; SaI1y Henkle, Secretary. <br />II. Mr. Davis moved to dispense with the read.ing of the minutes of the 6/9/70 <br />meeting and to approve as written; seconded by Mr. Brewer and unanimously <br />passed. <br />IIIo OId Business - None <br />IV. New Developments and Subdivisions <br />(a) Stearns R.oad Extension - Mr. Ransberry presented plans from the County <br />Eigineer's office on tlie Bassett - Stearns Improvement and stated <br />that the C ity Engineeris o.ffice is in agreement with their recommended <br />alternate route that would not involve taking the existing funeral <br />home. Discussion was held. Mr. Nelson moved to a.pprove road location <br />as shown in the Bassett-Stearns Improvement plans9 seconded by Mr. <br />Ledvina and Unanimously passed. <br />(b) A'Iittleman Subdivision - Mr. Ransberry explained that three or four <br />years ago Sublots 3, 4 and 5 on Andorra Drive were shortened and the <br />adjacent lots on Porter Road were lengthened because an exiSting house <br />on Porter Road -vras only It off the rear lot line. However, the <br />change was never approved by the Planning Commission and Council and <br />ir reviewing plans, the City Engineer notices that SA 3 no longer <br />meets the square footage requirements. hSr. and Mrs. MacDivett, oianers <br />of SA 3 stated that the swale is completely on their property. Mr. <br />Ransberry stated that on perimeter Zots in subdivisions, the entire <br />swale is on subdivision property. Discussion was held regardi g the <br />possibility of squaring off the back lot 7.ines a.nd giving the owners <br />of S/Z 3 the additional 51. Mr. Ledvina moved to defer action untiT <br />an agreement is reached between the parties directly involved. Mr. <br />Davis seconded the motion. Unanimously passed. <br />(c) Kemper Subdivision - Mr. P.othgery ex?1ained that he wishes to increase <br />the depth of his Uest 237th Street lot by buying an additional 501 <br />from PRr. Kemper whose property fronts on Clague Road. Both lots <br />would meet aII requirements. Mr. Ledvina moved to approve the Roy <br />Kemper Subdivision as proposed; seconded by Mr. Brewer and unanimously <br />passed. <br />V. Communications - None
