CTTY OF NORTH OLMSTED - BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS Regular Meeting held at City Ha11 - December 1, 1971 The meeting was called to order at 7:38 P.M. by Chairman John Roberts. Those Present: Mr. Roberts9 Mr. Tubbs, and Mrs. Eiano AZso Present: Mrsa Mago, Building Department The minutes of the 8/23/71 meeting were approved as written. 1. Appellants Cleveland Trust Co., 23420 Lorain Rd. - Request for variance (1133.13) to replace existing signs. Request is in violation of Ord. #62-33, Section 1225.02. Present: NLr. Carl Wagner of Wagner Sign Co. Mr. Wagner was sworn ina He presented photos of the proposed signs. They are asking for a sign to be on the building and one at the corner of Clague and Lorain Road; a sign xeplacing the existing letters on the building, and a sign replacing the one at the rear entrance of the parking lota Mr. Wagner stated that by putting up the new signs, it would make proper identification much easier0 2. Appellant: Cleveland Trust Co,, 26091 Great Northern Shopping Center - R.equest for variance (1133.13) to replaee existing signso R.equest is in violation of Ord. #62-33, Section Z225.020 Present: Mr. Car1 Wagner Since there was no information available on the exact dimensions of the buildings, the Board decided to continue the two above cases next month. 3m Appellant: Donald F. Gates - Request to erect dwelling on S/L 22 Silverdale Dr. Permanent Parcel #232-28-119 with a 20' va.riance for square footage in Class B District. Request is in violation of Ord. #62-33, Section 1153.02, which requires 1060 sq. ft. Present: Mr. & Mrs. Donald Gates, Edwin Ro1l, John Hendershot, Mrs. Frank Golick, George A. Boehm. A11 witnesses were sworn ino Ns. Gates submitted pZans for the Bi-1eve1 home. Mr, Roberts asked how far the houses next door are set back, Mr. Gates said it was 50', the same as they are proposing. Mr. Roberts asked if there are any drainage problems in this area. Mrs. Golick said there are. Mro Gates has already figured this outo Mrs. Golick asked what kind of siding the proposed home would haveo She was told it wotttld be.,aluminuma Mrg. GoZick said the home wo uld be an improvement to the area and Mre Ro1.1 agreedo Mrsm Eian moved to grant a 20' variance for square footage; seconded by Mr. Tubbs and unanimously passed. 4.
