\ <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLI4STED, OHTO <br />PLANNING COMNTISSION <br />May 25, 1971 <br />T. <br />IT. <br />III. <br />IV. <br />Roll Cal1 <br />The meeting was called to order a.t 8o02 P.M. by Chairman Dona,l.d Ledvina. <br />Those present were Mssrs. Ledvina, Edward Byers9 Jaxnes Leonard, James Davis, <br />Kurt Richards. Absente J. Edward Brewer, Richard Nelson, Also presento <br />Mr. Ransbury, Assistant to Acting City Engineer9 J. Bruce K_itchen9 Law <br />Director; AZro Gundy, Building Corunissioner; Sally Henkle, Secretary. <br />Rea.ding and Correction of Minutes <br />Mr. Leonard moved to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the <br />5/I1/71 meeting and to approve as written9 seconded by Mr. Byers and <br />unanimously passecl. <br />Building Department Rer,uests <br />(a) St. Andrews Lutheran Church - Mr. Gundy presented pla.ns for St. <br />Andrews Chuxch and sta.ted that the parking provided meets al1 of <br />the ordinance requirements9 Mr. Leonard moved to approve plan a8 <br />submitted; seconded by Mr. Byexs and unanimously passed. <br />(b) L^..yfavette Electronic Store and other store unit adiacent to Topps - <br />Mr. Glazer and A'!ro Jaclnnan presented plans for stores and a theater <br />adjacent to Topps. Mr. Gundy pointed out that this is part of an <br />over-a11 plan for shopping center but that only the retail stores and <br />theater are under consideration at this time, Considering parts <br />'IB" and "C" as shown on plan, the parking is sufficient and meets <br />all ordinance requirements. Discussion was held. Mr. Davis moved to <br />approve parking plan for Olmsted Plaza "B" and "C"; seconded by Mr. <br />Leonard and unanimously passed. <br />(c) Restaurant - Mr. Gundy presented plans ior a restaurant proposed for <br />the N. side of Lorain Road W. of Barton Road about half way between <br />Barton and the County Line. The pla.n shows 94 parking spaces which <br />is more than rec±uired by ordinance, Mr. Leonard moved to approve; <br />seconded by Mr. Byers and unanimously passed. <br />OId Business <br />(a) Hen Roc Rezoning Reauest - Mr. Puzzitello and Nro Moss presented a <br />revised plan and it was discovered that all of the changes requested <br />had not been made. Objections were made to garages opening too cl.ose <br />to the street or roadway. A furthur revision was suggested. Mr. <br />Moss stated that they wi11 try to comply w:ith requests prior to the <br />next meeting. Mr. Leonard moved to hold the proposal in committee; <br />seconded by Mr. Davis and unanimously passedo <br />(b) RegencY Rezoning Reauest - Mr. Margolius and Mr. Zeman presented a <br />plan ftr a sma11 shoi-3ping area to be located at the NE corner of <br />Brookpark and Columbia. The shopping area would serve residents of <br />the i.mmediate area. Rezoning of 3 lots from multi-family to general <br />retail was renuested. Tt was sugmested that the area might well be
