Ca11 <br />The meeting was caZled to order at 8:03 PaMo by Cha3.rman Donald Ledvinae <br />Those present were Messrso Ledvina' J, Edward Brewer, Kurt Richards, <br />James Ieonax°de Absent: Edward Byers, ftichard Nelson, and James Davis. <br />Mr, Leonard moned to excnse the absence of the missing members9 seconded <br />by Mr. Brewer and unanianously approved. Also present: Mr. Ransbury9 <br />Assistant to City Engineer; Mr. Gundy, Building Comna.ssf.oner; Marge Nader, <br />Secretary. <br />Reading and Correct3.on of Minutes <br />Mr. Ra.nsbury pointed out that under III (a) line two and three, the correct <br />reading is theater B, C, D, and E, and approve buildings F. G and addita.on <br />to Topps, MY°. Brewer moved to approve the minutes as corrected; seconded <br />by Mr. Richards, and unanimously approved as corrected. <br />Building Department Requests <br />(a) Great 1Vorthern Office Buildin - Nlrm Gundy presented pl.ans for the Great <br />Northern ffi.ce Bu3.lding, zihich wi11 hold management executive type <br />officesm A variance was granted on 8/23/71 for hea.ght laLma.tations0 <br />Mr. Hershman presented a picture of the buildingm A da.scassion was <br />held regarding the parking facilit3.es o Mro I,eonard asked if there <br />would be any change in the roadway. Mro Hershman stated that the <br />drivetiray entering Great Northern w3,ll remaa.n the same. Mr. Leonard <br />made a mot;ion to accept the Gx°eat Noxthern Ofii.ce Build3.ng0 Mr. <br />Brewer seconded the motion and it was unanimously'passedm <br />(b) Borden Burger - Mr. Gundy presented plans for a subd.ivision request on <br />the corner of Westpark and I,orain. Mr. Griesenbrock represented BBFQ <br />A discussion was he1d, Mr. Ieonard stated that there would be an extreme <br />drainage pr°oblem and he wondered how it would bs handledo Mr. Ransbnry <br />stated that since there are no adequate storm sewers on Lora9.n or Westpaxk, <br />an underground retaa.nf.ng system wou7.d have to be used, Mr. I,eonard stated <br />that it was originally set as3.de by the developer as a swale to drain the <br />westerly portion of the 1ots, with an-easement to the city if the city <br />had to ptzt in any necessary equipmentm Mr. Leonard made a motion to <br />reject the subdiv3.sion on the basis of poor pl.anningm My°a Richards <br />seconded the motion and it was unanimously agreed to re3ect the proposal <br />because of poor planninge <br />01d Business <br />0lmsted Manor - The P1.anning Commission has not received any informat3.on as yeta <br />New Developments and Subdivis3.ons <br />(a) Adams' Subd3.vision - Mro Ra,nsbury and Mr, Adams presented plans for the <br />subdivis3.on.
