CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />ZOAiING BOARD OF APPEAIS <br />October 41 1972 <br />Chairman Tubbs called the meeting to order at 7:30 peme <br />.Present: tilessrs. Tubbs, Scheef, Roberts and Ntrs. Eian <br />Also Present; Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner and Nirs. Hodgins, recording <br />secretaryo <br />l, James Twiggs, 2940 Clague Road. Request for variance (1133•13) for addition <br />to non-conforming dwelling (35 ft. front setback) in violation of ordinance <br />62-33 Section 1231.02. <br />iresent: Mr. and Mrs. Twiggs (parents of James Twiggs) and Ed Doleman from <br />Forest City. <br />Witnesses were administered the oath. Ed Doleman explained plans, structure <br />and sidinge Structure to be 17 ft. from sideline. N1r. Roberts moved to <br />grant special taermit for addition to non-conforming dwelling. Ntotion was <br />seconded by Mr. Scheef and passed unanimously. <br />2. Bennett Builders, 27280 Benwood Circle. Request for variance (1133e13) for <br />sign in residential area in violation of Ord, 62;33 Section 1225.01 (2) "no <br />subdivision sign shall be located within 100 ft. from any occupied residence. <br />Present: Don Moore repre4enting Mr. Bennett, 14r. Lasow and Mr. Violi. <br />Witnesses were administered the oath. iKro Moore explained purpose of the <br />sign - it is for control of truck traffic on Dover Center Rd. This is a <br />busy road and there are school childrenm Trucks may not see entrance to <br />subdivision and cause more traffic than necessary. Also workers may not <br />know where to turn. There will be 17 homes, contracts are 1et for 5 homes, <br />models are to be completed in 90 days. Builder has waited 12 months for <br />weather good enough for paving. He has promised completion date of Jan. <br />30' 1973 on two contracted homes. Sign is to be up 4 months. Mr. Violi <br />objected9 stating he feels this is flagrant disregard of rights of home- <br />owners. Sign is to be located SO ft. from Mr. Lasow's residence and he <br />quoted 1133.13. Four interested residences were not notified. The case <br />will be continued Nov. 1. <br />3. Mrs. George Aultman, 4688 Silverdale Rd. Request for special permit (1133.13) <br />to erect tool shed in violation of Ord. 62-33 Section 1133.09. <br />Present: Mrso Aultman and daughter. <br />Witnesses were administered the oath.' Cost of tool shed to be $110. Mrso <br />Aultman explained size and description of plot. There is 60 ft. frontage, <br />dwelling 80 fto from front, 185 ft. backyard. Tool shed is to be 7' x 10' <br />and to be located between two trees. House next door is to be located with <br />same setback. Next door neighbor does not object. There is fence in rear
