.a • o . <br />CITY OF NORTH OI,MSTED zL BOARD OF ZONTNG APPEALS <br />Special Meeting held at City Hall - June 28,1972 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7s34 p.m. by Chairman William Tubbs. <br />Presents Mr. Tubbs' Mr. Berglund and Mrs. Eian. <br />Also Present: Mr. Gundy., Building Commissiorer. <br />1. Appellants Hennie Homes, Inc. Continuance of request by <br />Hennie Homes, Inc. for variance (1133.I3) of 3 ft. on the side <br />yard for residence to be built in Sandy Ridge Subdivision #6 <br />between Edge Park Blvd. and Blossom Blvd. at 3943 Wood Park <br />Lane. Request is-in violation of Ord, 62-33 8ection 1159.02 <br />which requires 25 ft. side yard on corner lot. <br />Present: Walter "Welke. <br />Mr. Welke was administered the oath. The Senator Mode1 is proposed for above <br />mentioned address. Mr. Berglund moved to grant tY-, variance seconded by Nrs. <br />Eian. Motion passed. <br />2. walter Pelech9 Trdaldo °s Nursery9 23460 Loraia Rd. Request for <br />variance 1133.13 . Request to display merchandise in front <br />setback area in violation of Ord. 62-33 Section 1174.02 Par. <br />6- not permitted to display merchandise in set back area. <br />Present : Mr. and Mrs. Pelech <br />Witnesses were admini.stered the oath. Mrs. Pelech explained that the,y are <br />seeking 16' variance for display of seasonal products. C1eveland Trust had <br />telephoned the elerk and said they have no objections. Individuals object <br />to rental equipment - spreaders, etc. Mrs. Eian moved to grant variance to <br />display seasonal merchandise' not to exceed front of building. Nir. Berglund <br />seconded and the motion passed <br />3. Weslee Schultz, 28506 Douglas Dr. Contiriuance of request for <br />variance 1133,13) for the purpose of hearing request for vari- <br />ance for special permit to erect tool shed in violation of Ord. <br />#62-33 Section 1133.09• <br />Present: Mr. Schultz, Emil Ulad, Attorney, Mr. and Mrse Kuten, Mr. Morgash, <br />Mr. Rozak and Mrs. Seaa°1 with her son and daugh;er in law. <br />k1itnesses were administered the oathe Mr. Schultz showed pictures of his and <br />the neighboring back yards. He described proposed tool shed which demensions <br />are lo ft. x 14 ft. and 93 ft. from house to shed. Mra Schultz did obtain a <br />permit in Aug. of 1970 which still is in effect. Mr. Kuten objected strenuously <br />to location because two neighbors' shed are located nearby. Nlre Vlad stated <br />that relocation from original permit is important from esthetic point of view <br />and asked that Mr. Kuten's statement concerning how beautiful Mr. Kuten's back <br />yard is be stricken from the record.Mr. Morgash, Mrs. Searl and Mr. Rozak have <br />no objection, although the new location is preferred by Mr. Rozak. Mrs. Eian <br />had personally visited location earlier this evening and gave report. Mr. <br />Vlad wants to file a brief. Mr. Berglund moved that nariance be granted as <br />requested, 12 ft. from east lot line and 5 ft. from rear lot line and suitably <br />surrounded by shrubs at least 4 ft. high, preferably arborvitaeo Motion was <br />seconded by Mrs. Eian and passed.
