Jamestown
Developmente Request for variance to erect a 6 ft. chain
link fence f2cing Brookpark Rd. for 500 ft. and connect-
ing to present stockade fence along the Grace Rd. side.
Request made per Ord, 62-33 Section 1151.04
Presente Mrs David Margolious
NTr. Margolious was sworn in. A fence higher than 4 ft. is needed in this
a.rea because it is possible for trespassers to park on berm of Brookpark
Rd. and cause security problems, vandalism, prtty thefts, auto thefts, etc.
in Jamestow n Development. The Jamestown Development security for ce can-
not protect this edge. Also, papers and trash from Brookpark Road would
collect at fence and make it easier to keep the place clean. A lctter from
Mrs Zeman, owner of another part of Jamestoijn Development, was read. The
letter stated objection because of esthetics. Continuation of stockade
fence would be like a barricade.. h ide too much oY the deeelopment. Trees
and shrubs have been tricd and found unsatisfactory. Mr. Roberts moved that
a variance for a 5 ft high 500 ft. long green plastic coated chain link
fence with appropriate landscaping along Brookpark Rd. be granted. Mrs.
Eian seconded. The three members present voted in favor ard the motion
passed.
Appellant: David Nlargolious, 4825 Gol.umbia Rd. The fence as proposed would present no traffic
hazard, but would block Mro Gollce's view from his home. Several advantages
of Guch a fence were presentedo NIrs. Eian moved a variance be granted to
permit the erection of a 6 ft high stockade fence corYtinuing norther].y a-
long the property of the Jamestown Uevelopment on the south side of Elm Rd.
which wi11 stop at?Yathe rear, southeast, corner of Nlr.
