Roll Call <br />The meeting kas called to order at S:OS p,m. by Chairman James Davis. <br />Those present kere Messrs. Davis, Donald Ledvina , Kurt Richards,James <br />Leonard, Edward lyers, Edhard Brewer, and Robert Elliott. Also present: <br />Mr. Ransbur.y, Assistant to C t Zn ineer, PZr. Gundy, Buildi.ng Com- <br />missior.er9 Virgina..a Hodgins? Secry. <br />?.1 <br />II. ReadinF anc'. Correction of Minutes. <br />Approval of the minutes of the Febrar.y 22, 1972 meetinff as printed was <br />moved by T?•r. Llliott. Mr. Ledvina seconded. Motion carried, <br />III. Building Department Requests. <br />(a ) Mr, CTundy introduced Tony Thomas, owner of the buildins7 -?,ihich houses <br />hardware store and ChinesE Ftestaurant, who presented plans for en- <br />larging the parking lot at tN'hitethorn Ave. and Lorain Rd. which is <br />presently empt.y land. Mr. Leonard moved, seconded by iff,r. Brewer that <br />the plan be approved. During discussion it was stated that Sun Oil <br />Co, w ill clean up its area and that all the stores have rear entrances <br />and a planting strip will be provided. The motion carried unanimouslyo <br />(b) Mr. Gundy introduced i?'!r. Potter who presented plans for a.50-unit con- <br />? domirium complex with 63 covered and 68 open parking places, with a <br />Georgette Avea tie in in viol.ation of Ord. 62-33 Seco 1213002 vhich <br />stalues the center line of a driveway must be 60 fta from the closest <br />intersectin? street. Also there could 'pe slimh? e.Croachment of gar- <br />age ir:to the 0' set back area. Mra Ledvina movea to reject the pro- <br />posal on the basis of poor planning. Mr. Leonard seconded the motion. <br />It was unanimously voted to reject the proposal. <br />IV. Old Business <br />Pearl View Nursing Home Rezoningo The City still has heard nothir.g <br />from the iritere sted parties. <br />3rookpark rxtension. There zs discussion toni??ht in Council's Com- <br />mitteev During the course of the Planning Commission discus=ion it <br />was stated that commer,^.ial building permits can be issued and that <br />this coulc' lead to an a. .tenable si+„uation. <br />V. NeVa Developments and S;zbdivisions <br />(a )Mastick Voods Sutadivision <br />Nir. Paul Sailer presented plans for chanming existinP7 lot lines on 8 <br />residential lots on Mastick Road, requesting subdivision. These would <br />be C1ass A private homes. Mr. .Ed Frindt spoke f'or area residents. Nr. <br />Brewer moved rejection on basis of poor planning. Mr. Leonard second- <br />ed the motion. TAlotion passed unanimously. <br />?. <br />(b)Bauer Rezoning <br />Plans were presented for rezoning land in the area of ?,hitethorn Ave. <br />and Kenned,y Rid.ge Rd. from B residential to multiple re:idential. The <br />plan is for towTihouses of 120 units. There is a drainage prab.em.
