City of North Olmsted <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEAIS <br />December 53 1973 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.me by Chairman Roberts <br />Present: Chairman Roberts, Mrs. Eian.and Mr. Duskey <br />Also present: Mr. Gundy, Building Commissioner, Mrs. Hodgins, Record- <br />ing Secretary and Councilman Speedling. <br />Mr. Roberts announced request of Mrs. Frank H. Moore to be continuede <br />Mr. Roberts announced request of T. H. McMinn to be continued. <br />Mr. Roberts announced request of Alfred & Edyth Wilchek withdrawn. <br />Mr. Roberts stated due to lack of notification of proper parties in- <br />volved request of D. J. Caldwell will not be heard tonight. <br />Continuance of hearing of request of Barney Schwarzer, Pres., Nodern <br />homes and Bldgsy Inc. 21990 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, Ohio, 44126e <br />Request for variance (62-33 Section 1133•13). Request to build Re- <br />tail Center at Fark Ridge Dr. and Lorain Rd. (28669 Lorain). Hear- <br />ing required on basis of Section 1215001 Ord. 62-33 <br />Mro Roberts had reviewed with Law Director Kitchen the 1133.13 Power <br />of Appeals requirements and verified the case should be before the <br />Board of Zoning Appeals. <br />Mr. Roberts also discussed the case with Safety Directox R. Carna- <br />han who finds the plans are basically the same as those he rejected <br />when this was before Planning Commission and Council BZD Committee. <br />He states the present development would be a safet,y hazard. <br />NIr. Roberts suggests the developers return to the Planning Commis- <br />sion and give full cooperation to a revised plan that will be to <br />the best interest of the safety for our Communit,y. <br />Mr. Roberts asked the Board to deny the variance. <br />Mr. Roberts read letter dated November 21, 1973 from Ray S. Carna- <br />han, Safety Director, stating traffic hazard involved.
