C'ity of North Olmsted <br />? BOARD OF ZONING APPEAIS <br />March 61. 1974 <br />Chairman Hamill called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />Present: Messrs, Roberts9 Duskey, Tubbs, Ledvina and Chairman Hamill. <br />Also lresent: Law Director Gareau, Building Corunissioner Gundy, Council- <br />? man Saringer and Recording Secretary Hodgins. <br />Continuance of hearing of request of John R. tiaelker, 5567 Revere <br />Drs Request for variance (1133.13). Request of 14 ft. for front <br />setback variance. Violation of Ord. 62-33 Section 1159.01. Also <br />request to build addition to non-conforming dwelling. Permission <br />for special permit required by Ord. 62-33 Section 1231.02. <br />Case was read by Chairrnan Hamill. vIrs. tnlelker was administered <br />the oatho TrTith addition yard in front taould be 362 ft. and drive <br />very short. There is no parking on either side of the street, <br />compounding the problem. Rear yard is 35 ft. idorth side yard <br />is 27 ft. Board members felt the home with addition is too much <br />house for the land area and that no hardship exists. Having <br />viewed the problem, i+7r. Roberts moved to deny request for special <br />permit. Mro Tedvina seconded and motion passed unanimously. Re- <br />quest was denied, <br />l. Robert R. Cutler, 2h532 Lorain Rd. Request for variance (1133.13). <br />Request for identification pol signs 8 ft. x 10 ft. and 25 ft. in <br />height to be located at Lorain Rde and Great Northern Blvd. and <br />Srookpark Rdo and Great Northern Blvd. Violation of Ord. 62-33 <br />5ection 1225e02. <br />Present: R. Cutler and J. Brown. TRitnesses were administered <br />the oath. Request is 30 sq. fte ner sign over the ordinance. <br />Signs are requested to identify Olmsted Plaza Shopping from Great <br />Northern Shopping Center. Mr. Gundy said there is no uiolation <br />in location of signs, they are to be on Plaza property. Board <br />members agree signs are needed. Mr. Ledvina moved to reject <br />request for oversize pole signs as requested. Mr. Tubbs second- <br />ed and motion to reject passed unanimouslyo <br />2. Violet Forbes, h119 Columbia Rd. Request for variance (1133.13)e <br />Request for special permit to erect tool shed. Violation of Ord. <br />62-33 Section 1133,09. <br />Present: V. Forbes, Mr. a.nd Mrs. E. Carlin. Zqitnesses taere ad- <br />ministered the oath. Chairman Hami11 read case. Existing tool <br />shed is 200 ft. from house and is 7 ft. x 5 ft. x 6 ft. in height. <br />U. Forbes explained she had brought the tool shed with her when <br />she moved three years ago and was unaware permit was needed. Gar- <br />lins had no objections.
