PZANNTNG CONfMISSION <br />August 27, 1974 <br />I. <br />IT. <br />III. <br />Rol1 Ca11 <br />Chairman Richards called the meeting to order at 8:05 P.M. <br />Secretary Tischler called the roll. <br />Present: Chairman Richards, Secretary Tischler, Messrs. Elliott <br />and Davis. <br />Also Fresent: Building Commissioner Gundy, Assistant City Eng- <br />ineer McDermott, Law Director Gareau and Record- <br />ing Secretary Hodgins. <br />Review and Correction of Minutes. <br />Mr. Davis moved minutes of July 23, 1974 meeting be approved as <br />distributed. Mr. Elliott seconded and motion passed. <br />Building Department <br />(a ) Old R.e que sts - No Items <br />(b) New Requests <br />(1) Mr. Gundy presented layout for Assembly o£ God Church. <br />Planned is addition of 7,200 square feet. Plans were <br />studied for parking conformity. 266 parking spaces are <br />provided. (8:07 p.m. Mr. .Prokasy and Mrs. Eian are now <br />present) Plans for parking conform with exceptions not- <br />ed in August 7 minutes of ineeting of 2oning Board of Ap- <br />peals. Church is located at 3874 Columbia Rd., west side <br />of street and backs onto proposed neta State Route 252. <br />Permission was granted by Board of coning Appeals to <br />build new sanctuary in residential area. It has 400 mem- <br />bers and 1,06L geople are accommodated in parking layout. <br />Mr. Davis moved for approval. Mr. Prokasy seconded the <br />motion. Mre Tischler amended the motion eliminating 12 <br />parking spaces in front of future church. Nlr. rrokasy <br />seconded the motion to amend. Motion to amend pa5sed. <br />.Secretary Tischler cal]ied roll on the motion to approve. <br />Motion to approve passed. <br />IYM <br />Old Business <br />(a) Columbia Village (North Side of Lorain, west of Columbia) <br />Chairman Richards read portions of sections 1203.04 and <br />1203.05 from the Code, stating development plans are in <br />conflict. Chairman Richards further stated this item is <br />not admissible to the agenda according to the code. Mr. <br />Prokasy questioned history of the land acquisition. Mr. <br />Richards said these are final improvement plans to be con- <br />sidered by Planning Commission and should be removed from <br />the agenda indefinitely.
