,-- . <br />LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF MAY 14, 2012 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. in Council Chambers and Mr. Dubowski <br />led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Present: David Neville, Dale Thomas, Albert Richner, Tom Dubowslci, Julianne Nader, <br />Paul Schumann, Maryellen Davis <br />Absent: Don Rerko, Brian Walsh <br />Staff: Director of Planning and Development Kimberly Wenger, Clerk of Commissions <br />Donna Rote <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Davis moved, seconded by Mr. Neville, to approve the March 12, 2012 minutes as <br />written which passed 7-0. <br />NEW BiJSINESS <br />Certificate of Appronriateness: 27663 Butternut Ridge Road <br />Mr. Reichle said he would lilce to remove the enclosure and restore the porch to its original <br />configuration. Mr. Neville noted the front windows were different styles, questioned if the <br />original railings remain in tact and if the entire home was aluminum sided. Mr. Reichle said the <br />two windows would be matched and the original railings cleaned, painted and restored. The <br />entire home is aluminum sided however he would lilce to remove the siding around the porch and <br />paint the wood siding to match the existing home. Mr. Schumann said the home is a craftsman <br />style home and restoring the porch would be appropriate. <br />Mr. Richner moved, seconded by Mr. Dubowslu, to grant a Certificate of Appropriateness <br />to Victor Reichle of 27663 Butternut Ridge Road for removing the porch enclosure and <br />restoring the porch to its original configuration, which passed 7-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Desilznation of Landmarlcs: 4302 Porter Road <br />Mr. Schumann said a committee was needed to worlc on the research and report. Mr. Thomas <br />said the Knight family who built the home were members of the Universalist Church which <br />predates the structure itsel£ Committee members are Mr. Schumann, Mr. Richner, Mr. Thomas <br />and Mr. Neville. Ms. Wenger said that she would assemble the information provided by <br />committee members.
