CITY OF NOI2TH OI,MSTED <br />ARTS COMMISSIOIv <br />BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE 1VIEETING <br />MINUTES OF SEPTEIVIBER 17, 2014 <br />The meeting came to order at 6:33 p.m. in Council's Caucus Room. <br />Present: Bill Bralce, JoAnn DePolo, Sue Collander, David Wahl, Paul Schumann, Jim Morse, <br />David Neville, Jim Dubelko, Duane Limpert, Jaclcie Chavez-Anderson, Cheryl <br />Farver, Carrie Copfer, Jeff Campbell, Tom Dubowski, Stephanie Procter, Laura <br />Siinna, Cailey Bralce, Gretchen Schuler, Annie Dorsey <br />Staff: Planning & Development Director Kim Wenger <br />Bill Bralce called the meeting to order at 6:30pm and the group made introductions. <br />1. Financiallaeport <br />a. Fundraising update <br />Moen and Cargill have committed as programming support sponsors at $10,000 each. <br />Medical Mutual has donated $2,000 and the Chamber donated $1,000. Huntington is <br />donating an unknown amount. Additional sponsors are being approached. Sponsorships will <br />determine the level of event programming possible. <br />b. Draft budget <br />Carrie and Duane are working together to compile anticipated revenues versus expenses. <br />Additional information is required from event captains and the publicity group regarding <br />general promotional materials. Also, designs are needed in order to price merchandise. The <br />City's contribution to the bicentennial is expected to be around $SOK, wliich may change <br />once the budget is prepared. <br />H. Publicitv & Outreach Reports <br />a. VVebsite: celebratenortholraisted.com (org also secured) <br />Kiin is worlcing with Studio Pence to launch the website the weekend of September 27 with <br />the fiist phase of content. She described the three stages of roll out and how Educate, <br />Celebrate and Inspire will be used as lcey headings. The Inspire section will permit <br />coinmunity inembers to submit content and will also feature one interesting person/family <br />and one cool business per month starting in January. Stephanie and Jaclcie will talce charge of <br />content for interesting people; Sue will take charge of content for cool businesses, ensuring <br />information is submitted timely for monthly web updates. The website will be in shape for <br />registration/ticlcet sales for the New Year's Eve event. <br />b. Faceboo9c: celebratenortholmsted <br />LaLUen is worlcing on the banner for the Faceboolc page. Landmarlc Commission members <br />should continue to provide content for This Day in History to be featured on the page.
