LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF MARCH 9, 2015 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Chairman Neville called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. in Council Chambers and led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Present: David Neville, Jim Dubelko, Jim Morse, Gretchen Schuler, Tom Dubowski, Duane <br />Limpert, Paul Schumann <br />Absent: Don Rerko . <br />Staff: Director of Planning & Development Kimberly Wenger, Clerk of Commissions Donna <br />Rote <br />REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Ms. Schuler moved, seconded by Mr. Morse, to approve the Landmarks Commission <br />minutes of January 12, 2015, which passed 7-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />2014 Annual Report <br />Ms. Wenger said the changes discussed at the January meeting and other input was incorporated <br />into the report. Mr. Neville aslced if there were any further additions or corrections and Mr. <br />Dubowski said all the additions and corrections discussed were incorporated into the report. Mr. <br />Limpert reviewed cutting back on the goals for 2015 was due to bicentennial commitments. <br />Mr. Morse moved, seconded by Mr. Dubowski, to adopt the 2014 Annual Report as <br />written, which passed 7-0. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Historic Recnnition ProLFram <br />Colleen Grobelny; 3522 Clague Road <br />Judy Herman; 29880 Lorain Road <br />Mr. and Mrs. Grobelny of 3522 Clague Road were present to discuss what is required to have <br />their home recognized. Ms. Grobelny said their home on Clague Road was built in 1915. Mr. <br />Neville said the first step in having your home recognized is filling out an application and <br />submitting it to the commission. He asked if the owners were seeking historic recognition or <br />landmark status. Mr. Morse described the two levels of recognition. Mr. Dubelko reviewed <br />research tools the owners could use and suggested the County Auditor's website as a starting <br />point to find past owners of their home as well as the county archives to research past tax <br />records. Mr. Schumann asked about the style of the home, and Mrs. Grobelny said it's a neo <br />classic. Mr. Schumann asked if the home was in its original condition. Mr. Dubelko suggested
