There are connecting pieces of the building that run parallel to Butternut Ridge. The
architectural style of the library, Georgian style, was the inspiration for the building. The western
portion of the building will be in line with the library, creating a visual relationship with the new
school complex.
Mr. Limpert clarified that a crosswalk will be installed to connect the complex to the library. The
district wanted the building to look like a campus of multiple smaller buildings. Mr. Dubowski
clarified that the white spots shown on the elevations are reserved for medallions salvaged from
the old middle school. Ms. Schuler clarified that there will be emergency exits in addition to the
main entrances. They are located on all sides of the building to comply with code. The color of
the brick will be similar to the library, the banding shown on the elevations will be a limestone
color, and all of the trim will be white. The main school sign, medallions and stone archway for
the auditorium were salvaged from the old middle school and will be incorporated into the new
