<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />PLANNING & DESIGN COMMISSION MEETING <br />COUNCIL CHAMSERS <br />WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2007 <br />7:30 PM <br />MINUTES <br />1. CAUCUS <br />Ms. Wenger reported there would be a public meeting for the Crocker Stearns Corridor Plan <br />held on Monday, February 19, at 7:00 p.m. at the High School. The County Pre- <br />construction meeting will be held at the Senior Center on January 31 at 7:00 p.m. <br />Mr. O'Malley swore in John Lasko for a new term as member of the Planning and Design <br />Commission. <br />II. ROLL CALL <br />Present: John Lasko, Ralph Bohlmann, James Cotner, Greg Malone, Melissa Meredith, <br />Mark Mahoney. <br />Also Present: Kim Wenger, Planning Director; Bryan O'Malley, Asst. Law Director; David <br />Conway, Building Commissioner; Dan Collins, City Engineer. , <br />III. ELECTION OF CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR <br />Ms. Meredith moved to elect John Lasko as Chair of the Planning and Design <br />Commission for 2007, seconded by Mr. Mahoney, which was unanimously approved. <br />Ms. Meredith moved to elect Mark Mahoney as Vice Chair of the Planning and Design <br />Commission 2007, seconded by Mr. Lasko, which was unanimously approved. <br />IV. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Lasko moved to accept the minutes for the November 29th, 2006 meeting, seconded <br />by Mr. Mahoney, which was unanimously approved. <br />V. OLD BUSINESS <br />VI. NEW BUSINESS <br />1. North Olmsted Laser Wash; 25054 Lorain Road (WRD 2) <br />Proposal consists of amendments to approved landscaping. <br />Ms. Wenger reported Laser Wash failed to install landscaping that was required in the <br />approved plans. The request for a minor change was denied; therefore, they are before the <br />Commission for recommendations and approval. The applicant removed a required planting <br />area that added some green space and aesthetic benefit to the front of the building. <br />Tim Flury, architect, stated that he did not intend to deviate from the plans. They made the <br />changes according to the Engineering department's request, and submitted the plans to
