LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MEETING MINUTES FOR JULY 14, 2008 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Schock called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. in Council Chambers. <br />Present: Dale Thomas, Larry Orlowski, Tom Dubowski, Jeff Herwick, Thomas Schock, John <br />Lasko <br />Absent: Paul Schumann, Maryellen Davis, Donald Rerko <br />Staff: Secretary Tricia Granfors <br />At Mr. Lasko's request, those present stood to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Herwick moved, seconded by Mr. Dubowski, to approve the June 9, 2008 minutes, <br />which was unanimously approved. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Certified Local Government Apnlication <br />Mr. Schock requested all members e-mail updated resumes to Mr. Schumann prior to the next <br />meeting. If needed, the Planning Department may be able to provide members with resumes <br />currently on file for comparison. <br />Frostville Village Church Marker <br />The marker was viewed by the commissioners and given to Mr. Thomas for installation. Mr. <br />Schock said all Landmarks Commission members were invited to attend the dedication of the <br />Frostville Village Church on August 3, 2008. <br />Streetscane Banners for Frostville Area <br />It was noted the Frostville banner used the designation "museum." Mr. Schock suggested the <br />term "village" might be better. After a brief discussion on area history, what name is most <br />appropriate, and consistency of use, it was decided area Metroparks sigris would be viewed to <br />see what name is used for Frostville. The matter will be discussed further at the next meeting. <br />Mr. Lasko moved, seconded by Mr. Orlowski, to approve the streetscape banners as <br />presented, which was unanimously approved.
