Approximately 100 student art works have been juried. A letter is being sent to the <br />students whose work was chosen. The student art has been packaged and will be picked up in <br />July. The schools will be providing a glass display cabinet for use at the art show. A few local <br />musical groups are being scheduled including a string quartet from Symphony West and vocal a <br />group. <br />Mr. Yustick distributed appLcations; five artists expressed interest. He aIso sent an e-mail to Pat <br />Catan's requesting they post the event on their calendar. Mr. Kepperley will publish additional <br />articles in the local papers. He is also considering having a poster printed. <br />Artist Howard Markowitz's applieation was unanimously accepted. <br />Parkffest, June 13 & 274 2010 <br />Mr. Kepperley indicated that since the Kiwanis is a co-sponsor of the two events, they will be <br />selling pop and pizza at both concerts. He will send a letter and flyers to North Olmsted <br />cliurches concerning the concerts, die Kiwanis spaghetti dinner on June 24, and a used tool <br />collection for Habitat for Humanity on June 26. <br />The two Chick-fil-A Spirit Nights raised $125.00 for the Aarkfest concerts. However, they wrote <br />the check to the Cultural Activities Commission instead of Kiwanis. In addition, approximately <br />$35 cash was collected at each of the two fundraisers from the prize wheel.
