LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 14, 2011 <br />ROLL CALL <br />Mr. Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers and Mr. Dubowski <br />led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Present: Paul Schumann, David Neville, Dale Thomas, Albert Richner, Tom Dubowski <br />Absent: Don Rerko, Mark Mahoney, Robert Parry, Maryellen Davis <br />Staff: Director of Planning and Development Kimberly Wenger, Clerk of Commissions <br />Donna Rote <br />REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES <br />Mr. Richner moved, seconded by 1dIr.lVeville, to approve the January 10, 2011 minutes as <br />corrected, which was approved 5-0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Letter of Recollnition: 26405 Butternut Ridge Road <br />Mr. Schumann drafted a letter for Charles and Catherine Heaton of 26405 Butternut Ridge Road <br />on behalf of the Landmark Commission commending them for the restoration work recently <br />completed. The office will print the letter onto city letterhead and send it to the homeowners. <br />Archives for North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line (1e10MBL) <br />The clerk said the NOMBL boxes requested were delivered to the office on February 10. Mr. <br />Richner will stop in to view the items within the boxes and report on the findings in March. <br />Sueaker Series: speaker identification <br />Mr. Schumann said prior discussions included sponsoring Frostville Historical Society speakers. <br />On July 30, 2011 Frostville will have two speakers at the Antique Gas and Engine Show. There <br />is a gentleman who has a collection from the Nickel Plate Railroad which ran from Chicago, to <br />Cleveland to New York and lasted through the 1950's who will be speaking and the second <br />speaker is a gentleman who will speak on antique clocks. Ms. Wenger suggested the <br />commission sponsor an antique road show type event if the commission can find appraisers to <br />assist evaluating and appraising items brought to the show. Mr. Schumann said he would speak <br />with the Yankee Peddler to see if he would be interested in helping. <br />Designation of Landmarks <br />Mr. Schumann said a few of the members were at Frostville Museum researching files for photos <br />of the homes or families of the two homes.
