SIGNS: , ,-?:
N: OLD BUSINESS:
A) Grreat Northem Plaza South,
Site plan and revised elevations of plaza south as requested at architectural review board meeting
of January 21, 1998.
Present were Greg Barrow, and Dave Sherri. Mr. Barrow presented the proposal. Mr. Zergott
noted that Plaza South's roof colors don't match, and the different colors of the roofs can be seen
from the parking lot because of the different elevation levels. He suggested they at least paint the
roofs all the same color, it's not important what color just as long as they all match. Mr. Barrow
agreed to comply with the boards suggestion of making the roofing materials match, and indicated
they were thinking of changing from what is presently being used (black asphalt) to a metal roo£
Mr. Zergott asked what kind of landscaping has been planned for the area on the south side of
Kronheims. Right now all that is there is a grass curb along the south side of the parking lot. Mr.
Banow stated they had not planned anytliing for landscaping. Mr. Zergott suggested that the
south side be broken up with a few trees as it would help hide the roof and soften up the area:
Mr. Yager noted he would like to see the whole back area of the ship mall addressed. Mr.
Barrow stated our operations group has put together a maintenan.ce program to go back and
resurface that area, and they will need permits to complete the work. He added the neutral colors
will be utilized. Mr. Yager noted when `Best Buy' came in it exposed all the architectural
weaknesses in the center.
M. Yager motioned to approve the project as submitted with the following comments, 1). you
revise the landscaping on the south side of the parking, south side of Kromheims, and the south
side of the building and 2). make sure the colors of the roofs are consistent throughout the plaza.
The motion was seconded by B. Zergott, and unanimously approved. ,
