Note: Heard by Planning Cominission on 1/12/99, and
the Board of Zoning Appeals board on 2/4/99.
? Mr. Zergott called Suburban Auto Body representatives fonvard to present their proposal. Mr. Jones
reviewed pictures of the existing building and surrounding area. They would like to add an estimation bay
to the eYisting building. The estimations are presently being made outdoors in the different weather
elements. There is parking in the front, which will be reworked and the existing buffer will be moved
forward. The front of the ehistuig building will be moved forward as well. The entrance drive will be
reworked to create a new entrance and eYit. The back of the building will have additional parking added,
but no landscape iinprovements have been planed for the back of the builduig. The front of the building
will come out 20'feet by 50'feet, the traffic will come around the front to the West Side of the building to
enter the estimation bay. Mrs. Schulz asked if the traffic would flow only from the west to tlle east or from
east to west. Mr. Liggett suggested painting the
eiisting building or using a whit split face block or extending the canopy back to give some kind of an
enhancement to the existing building. If the canopy was eltended along the side of the building and a
masonry peer placed at the back of the building to blend the addition to the e;usting building. Mr. Yager
suggested if the ovaier could afford to do Mr. Liggetts suggestion it would look very good, but the addition
will increase the look of the overall builduig. He suggested looking the overhang be eltended out about
? 1'foot more. He asked Mr. Conway if the board was to discuss signage. Mr. Conway suggested a sign
