ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman, Tallon called the meeting to order at 7:30pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman, R. Tallon, Board members; K. O'Rourke, W. Spalding, S. Asseff, C. <br />Allan and T. Hreha. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Assistant Law Director, J. Dubelko, Assistant City Engineer, D. McDermott, <br />Assistant Building Commissioner, T. Rymarczyk and Clerk of Commissions, D. Rote. <br />ABSENT: Board inember; R. Koeth. II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF IVIlNUTES: The Planning Commission minutes dated <br />October 10, 2000 have been submitted for approval. <br />T. Tallon motioned to approve the Planning Commission minutes dated October 10, 2000 as <br />submitted. K. O'Rourke seconded the motion. Roll call on the motion: R. Tallon, K. O'Rourke, <br />S. Asseff, C. Allan, and T. Hreha; "Yes", W. Spalding; abstain. 1Vlotion Carried. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1. Developers Diversified (Hoine Depot): PP# 235-27-001 and O11 • <br />Proposal consists of a 1,792 square foot addition to Home Depot. <br />Note: 1'lanning Commission 9/26/00 & 10/10/00 tabled this Proposal. <br />NOTE: AT THE REQUES'I' OF TFIE APPLYCANT, 'I'HIS PROPOSAI, HAS BEEN <br />WITHI)ItAWN lU1VTIL FUI2THER NOTICE. <br />2. Elias Bros.: 26770 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal consists of demolishing the existing restaurant and replacing it with a Steak N Shake <br />Restaurant and Quick-Change building. Note: Variances will be required for sign package and <br />additional variances may be required pending Engineering's review. <br />Chairman Tallon called all interested parties forward to review the proposal. Mr. Scott, the <br />contractor for Steak N Shake came forward to review the proposal. Mr. Scott indicated that they <br />have been working on the current proposal for 15 months. April 2000 is when they first applied <br />to go before Planning Commission, but withdrew to meet with city engineers. After a few <br />meetings with the City Engineer, there have been major changes. The two existing driveways <br />will remain as they currently are today. They have tried to incorporate all the suggestions of the <br />engineering department into the new submittal. At this time we do not have the dimensions of <br />the sign package, therefore we will address the sign package later. Mr. Hreha questioned were <br />the nearest steak N Shake/Quick Change oil shop is outside of North Olmsted. Mr. Scott <br />suggested that this was the first joint development with Quick Change. Mr. Spalding questioned <br />were the traffic would enter for the Quick Change Oil. Mr. Scott suggested the he believed that
