. CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />"TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFEREIVCE" <br />ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD <br />MINUTES - MARCH 22, 2000 <br />COloT-FE12ENCE ROOlVI - 5:30 P.M. <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />B. Zergott called the meeting to order at 5:30pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman B. Zergott, Board Members K. Schulz, T. Liggett, and M. Yager. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Asst. Building Commissioner T. Rymarczyk and Asst. Clerk of <br />Commissions K. Fallon. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: The Architectural Review Board minutes for <br />7anuary 19, 2000 has been submitted for approval. <br />Chairman Zergott motioned to approve the minutes of the Architectural Review Board meeting <br />for January 19, 2000 with the following change: on Page 7, last sentence, after Furniture insert <br />"entrance." The motion was seconded by K. 5chulz and unanimously approved. <br />III. SIGNS: <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS: <br />The Board needs to appoint a Chairman and a Vice-Chairman. <br />T. Liggett motioned to appoint B. Zergott as Chairman and M. Yager as Vice Chairman. The <br />motion was seconded by K. Schulz and unanimously approved. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1. Fifth Third Bank; 26187 Lorain Rd. <br />Proposal consists of an ATM machine with a canopy. <br />Chairman Zergott called all interested parties forward to review the proposal. Mr. Cieply with <br />Fifth Third Bank and Mr. Saylor, the architect, came forward to review the proposal. Mr. <br />Zergott reviewed that the Architectural Review Board is interested in the exterior project; the <br />building materials, roofing, landscaping, etc. Mr. Saylor indicated Fifth Third is proposing to <br />remove the present ATM and move it to the rear of the building. He indicated there is a small <br />canopy over the drive through window extending out 3-4 feet. Mr. Saylor then showed a <br />picture of the existing ATM and drive though window. The proposal is to extend the canopy <br />over the ATM addition, which is approximately 11 - 12 feet. Mr. Cieply indicated the existing <br />drive through window would remain in operation. He indicated there would also be a <br />relocation of the night drop moved toward the end of the drive through. The night drop is <br />presently located in the limestone panels, which would be replaced. Mr. Saylor then showed <br />photos of adjacent properties of Fifth Third. Mr. Liggett questioned if there were photos of <br />the front of the building. Mr. Saylor indicated "yes" and showed Mr. Liggett the photos. Mr. <br />Saylor indicated that Fifth Third Bank had appeared before Planning Commission and indicated <br />that the one request received was to show landscaping. He indicated there were pine trees in <br />the rear of the building located about 40 feet on center and between those pines would be <br />Burning Bushes. The material itself of the canopy will be a stucco board, which is located, up <br />high and would match the color with the EIFS and the piers will be a brick color, which is the <br />same as the stone. Ms. Schulz questioned what was being matched with the EIFS. Mr. Saylor
