Mr.
Self, with Self-Sijns came forward to present the proposal. Mr. Self questioned if the Board
Members received the final sign package, which included the monument sign that was
previously discussed. The monument sign is opaque in color and only the white letters will
show at night. He indicated he just receivecl a final photo layout of the sign package, which
contained 7 views. Mr. Self indicated that the views showed what the planning commission
wanted. Ms. Schultz questioned if the pictures were an actual rendering of the signs. Mr. Self
replied yes and went on to explain each view as he passed them to each Board Member. View
1 shows the view from Porter Road. View 2 is facing Lorain, in which there is one set of CVS
letters and three sets of plastic letters saying what their services are: a drive-thru, a one hour
photo and a food mart. View 3 is another view rendering the same view as view 2. On View
4 there are no signs and this is the side the Architectural Review Board wanted the awnings
and fake windows. View 5 is the only other side containing the CVS/Pharmacy signs. The
last view, View 6, was a back view that had been a concern at a previous meeting about how
the building looked in regards to the area. Mr. Zergott questioned whether Mr. Self was
considering all their small signs too, since they were saying that there were no signs on two
sides of the building. NIr. self reviewed the information panel on the drive-thru side isn't
normally considered a sign; it's just a menu sign. There are the drive-thru pharmacy signs with
9" letters that are above on the canopy. The sign has an enter and an exit, and they are non-
illuminated with the red plastic letters. There are no proposed banner signs that are standard
signs that CVS said they didn't want. He indicated he knew there was standard for temporary
signs but they would look into it with the Building Department when the time comes. CVS
