CITY OF NORTH OLIVISTEI) <br />°'TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE" <br />LA,NDMARKS COMMISSION <br />MINUTES NiAY 8,2000 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />OLD TOdVN HALL <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman, J. Lang called the meeting to order at 7:30pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman, J. Lang and Board members K. O'Rourke, P. Barker, G. Corell and L. <br />VanAuken. <br />ABSENT: Board members, M. Gareau Jr., B. Lord, C. Miller and A. Smeraldi. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: The minutes of the Landmarks Commission <br />meeting held on April 10, 2000 are submitted for approval. <br />G. Corell motioned to approve the Landmarks minutes dated April 10, 2000 as written. The <br />motion was seconded by K. O'Rourke and. unanimously approved. . <br />III. COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mr. Lang commented that he received a letter from Sites students, Curtis Barker and Monica <br />Clodwick explaining that they could not make tonight's meeting as they both have prior <br />commitments. He indicated that the letter also expressed their experiences they had working <br />with the Landmarks Commission during the year. Mr. Lang remarked that he would make <br />sure each member got a copy of the letter, which also has recommendations for next years <br />Sites student. Mr. Lang felt that Curtis Barker went above and beyond his obligations and <br />worked more like an unpaid full-time employee then a part time volunteer. His enthusiasm <br />was contagious. <br />N. COMIVIITTEE REPORTS: <br />By-laws: No items <br />2. Goals: No items <br />3. Recognition's: No items <br />4. Mr. Lang introduced Mr. Patrick Lang, who is a student at the State University and is writing <br />by-laws for a Landmarks Committee as a class project. He would like to submit a copy of <br />the by-laws he has written to our board for review and approval. Mr. Patrick Lang gave a <br />copy of the by-laws to each board member. Note: To review the by-laws submitted to the <br />board see attached document at the back of these minutes. Mr. Patrick Lang indicated that <br />the by-laws received were a rough draft, as he has not heard back from his professor as of yet <br />whether or not they were acceptable. Once he hears from his professor he will submit a final <br />copy. He tried to base his by-laws on goals, objectives and the mission of the Landmarks <br />?
