ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman, Puzzitiello called the meeting to order at 5:30pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman, R. Puzzitiello, Board members; P. Engoglia and N. Althen. <br />ABSENT: Board members; R. Klesta and M. Conway. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Building Commissioner, D. Conway and Clerk of Commissions, <br />D. Rote. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: The minutes of April 19, 2001 <br />Board of Building Codes Appeals minutes have been submitted for approval. <br />P. Engoglia motioned to approve the Board of Building Code Appeals minutes dated <br />April 19, 2001 as submitted. The motion was seconded by N. Althen and <br />unanimously approved. 1Vlotion Carried. <br />III. BUII.,DING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Wal-Mart (Daniel Golden); 24801 Brookpark Road: <br />Permit applied for: Containers visible from Country Club Blvd. right-of-way (section <br />1363.07 (b-5)). <br />Chairman Puzzitiello called all interested parties forward to review the request. <br />Thomas Banker, intern manager for Wal-Mart, was present to review the request. <br />Mr. Banker indicated that they have moved the three containers that were visible <br />from Country Club Blvd. to the side, up against the retaining wall that they have <br />there. He submitted a letter from Mr. Golden to the Clerk and Chairman. Mr. <br />Puzzitiello questioned if those containers would be permanently coming in and out of <br />that area. Mr. Banker replied no. They are currently used for storing seasonal patio <br />furniture and things like that. Mr. Engoglia questioned if they store items in those in <br />the winter. Mr. Banker replied no, they really don't get that heavy of inerchandise in <br />the winter. The patio furniture only stocks up in the summer. The warehouse will <br />not hold the volume of inerchandise that they order for their costumers. Mr. <br />Engoglia questioned if he was saying that they wouldn't have a problem like this <br />again until next summer. Mr. Banker replied correct. Mr. Engoglia questioned if <br />- next spring they would have to put them out again. Mr. Banker replied that he <br />couldn't answer that because he can not be positive. Mr. Conway questioned if this <br />was in any way related to the covering of the garden center. Mr. Banker replied no, <br />he knows they are having a roof put on the landscaped area there. Mr. Conway <br />questioned if that would cause them storage issues when that occurs. Mr. Banker <br />replied that it shouldn't. Mr. Conway indicated that he meant when that work <br />occurs, will you have to move merchandise out. Mr. Banker indicated that he <br />couldn't give that answer right now, he isn't sure. 1VIr. Conway suggested that the <br />board would like the opportunity to review a request prior to them occurring. So, if
