<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />°'TOGETHEIZ WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE" <br />BOAItD OF BUILDING COI)E APPEALS <br />MINUTES APRIL 19, 2001 <br />IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />5:30 P.M. <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman, Puzzitiello called the meeting to order at 5:30pm. <br />PRESENT: Chairman, R. Puzzitiello, Board members; R. Klesta, M. Conway, P. <br />Engoglia and N. Althen. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Assistant Building Commissioner, R. Rymarczyk and Clerk of <br />Commissions, D. Rote. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MMUTES: The minutes of 7anuary 18, 2001 <br />Board of Building Codes of appeals meeting have been submitted for approval. <br />Chairman Puzzitiello motioned to approve the January 18, 2001 minutes as <br />submitted. The motion was seconded by R. Klesta and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUII.,DING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1) Russell Linden; 23983 Delmere Dr. <br />Permit applied for: fence. Requested fence on rear line, neighbors (2) have existing <br />fences on common property line. Section 1369.03 (a-3) prohibits an additional fence <br />along line. <br />Chairman Puzzitiello called all interested parties forward to review the request. Mr. <br />& Mrs. Linden came forward to review the proposal. Mr. Linden showed pictures <br />of the site to the board members. They would like a fence around their backyard. <br />There will be a gate along the back property line to make sure there is access to the <br />easement area. The fence will be 3 to 5 feet in from the property line. We would <br />like the fence for privacy as well as for keeping the dog in the yard. Mr. Puzzitiello <br />questioned if the applicant objected to placing the fence Sfeet in from the line. Mr. <br />Linden suggested that as there is landscaping beds in the back of the lot he would <br />like to make sure they are not disturbed. Mr. Puzzitiello questioned if the applicant <br />could be required to have a gate to make sure there is access to the easement area. <br />Mr. Rymarczyk suggested that that would work out well, as that would allow access <br />for the utilities. Mr. Klesta 4.5 feet would be good as long as CEI can get access the <br />easement area. <br />R. Puzzitiello motioned to approve Russell Linden of 23983 Delmere Dr. his request <br />for a fence. Requested fence is to be 4.5feet in from the rear property line. Note: <br />neighbors, (2) have existing fences on common property line. Section 1369.03 (a-3) <br />prohibits an additional fence along line. The motion was seconded by P. Engoglia <br />and unanimously approved. Motion Carried.
