<br />CITY OF NORTH OLM5TED <br />"TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE" <br />LANDMARKS COMMISSION <br />MINUTES JUNE 11, 2001 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />OLD TOWN HALL <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Lord called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. <br />PRESENT: Chairman B. Lord, Board members, P. Barker, L. VanAuken, D. Lind, A. <br />Smeraldi, C. Kasler, and M. Davis. <br />ABSENT: G. Corell, K. O'Rourke. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: The minutes of the Landmarks Commission <br />meeting held on May 14, 2001 have been submitted for approval. <br />Mrs. VanAuken indicated that she had a rather extensive change for the minutes. In section <br />V, it reads " Mrs. VanAuken received a letter from the Mayor", when it should read <br />"Landmarks commission received a letter from the Mayor". Another sentence in there <br />should be added after the second sentence, which should read "Mrs. VanAuken was asked to <br />do some research on this for the commission". Mrs. Lord questioned if there were any <br />further comments on the minutes. <br />D. Lind motioned to approve the minutes dated May 14, 2001 as amended. The motion was <br />seconded by P. Barker and unanimously approved. Approved as corrected. <br />III. NEW BUSINESS: <br />Mr. & Mrs. Sepic; 25417 Butternut Ridge Rd. <br />Proposal consists of a new roof. <br />Mrs. Lord questioned if the applicants have started work on the roof yet. Mr. Sepic replied <br />no. Fairview Home Improvement will be putting a new roof on his garage and house. Mrs. <br />Lord questioned if it was a tear off. Mr. Sepic replied yes. The roof will be a little bit lighter <br />in the gray color. The house was built in approximately in 1953. Mr. Barker questioned if it <br />was the white house with blue trim to make sure he was looking at the correct house. Mr. <br />Sepic replied correct. Mr. Barker indicated that Fairview Home Improvement has done work <br />at his home and they do very good work, so there should be no problem. <br />P. Barker motioned to grant a certificate of appropriateness to Mr. & Mrs. Sepic at 25417 <br />Butternut Ridge Rd. for their request for the new roof, which is colored gray frost with a 25 <br />yr. warranty. D. Lind seconded the motion and was unanimously approved. Certificate <br />Granted 6/11/01. <br />Mr. & Mrs. Pearson; 26944 Butternut Ridge Rd: <br />Proposal consists of a new roof. <br />Mrs. Tabor, the Pearson's daughter, was present to review their request. Mr. Barker noted <br />that this house was already plaqued. Mrs. Tabor indicated that he was correct, the house was
