CITY OF NORTH OLIVIS'I'ED <br />"TOGETHER WE CAN 1VIAKE A DIFFERENCE" <br />BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS <br />MINUTES - JA1vUARY 24, 2001 <br />7:30PM <br />I. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman, Maloney called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. <br />. PRESENT: Chairman, J. Maloney, Board members, T. Koberna, J. Konold, W. Kremzar <br />and T. Kelley <br />ALSO PRESENT: Law Director, M. Gareau, Assistant Building Commissioner, T. <br />Rymarczyk and Clerk of Commissions D. Rote <br />Chairman Maloney announced that the first order of business would be the swearing in of <br />the new board member Terrence Kelley by Law Director, Gareau. Mr. Kelley was sworn <br />in by Mr. Gareau to be a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MIlNUTES: The Board of Zoning Appeals minutes <br />of November 2, 2000 and December 7, 2000 have been submitted for review. <br />J. Konold motioned to approve the November 2, 2000 minutes as submitted. The motion <br />was seconded by W. Kremzar and unanimously approved. <br />W. Kremzar motioned to approve the December 7, 2000 minutes as submitted. The <br />motion was seconded by T. Koberna and unanimously approved. <br />Chairinan Maloney announced that three proposals had been withdrawn by the applicants, <br />two by Teligent and one by SprintCom/McCormick Place. Each board member has <br />viewed the premises involved in each case. Three votes are required for approval. <br />Chairman Maloney advised that each case would be judged on the physical situation <br />peculiar to itself, so that in no way is a judgment rendered considered to be a general <br />policy judgment affecting properties and like situations elsewhere. <br />III. BUII..DING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1. Barrv Dar ush; 24385 Palm Dr. <br />Request for variance (1123.12). The proposal consists of an over-sized shed. The <br />following variance is requested: <br />1. A 62 sq. ft. variance for over-sized shed (code permits 106 sq. ft., applicant shows <br />168 sq. ft.). Which is in violation of Ord. 90-125 section, 1135.02 D-1. <br />Chairman Maloney called all interested parties forward to review the request. The oath <br />was administered to Mr. Dargush, the owner - Mr. Glessman, and Mr. Palcisko, both <br />neighbors. Mr. Dargush indicated that he built a storage building 14' by 12' deep. He <br />believed 200 foot was allowed. His home is a split-level. The shed will have a main door
