ROLL CALL: <br />Acting Chairman Koeth called the meeting to order at 7:40PM. <br />PRESENT: Acting Chairman, R. Koeth; Board members, K. O'Rourke, S. Asseff, C. Allan, <br />and T. Hreha. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Assistant Law Director, J. Dubelko, City Ena neer, P. Deichmann, <br />Building Coirunissioner, D. Conway and Asst. Clerk of Commissions, S. Solomon. <br />ABSENT: Chairman; R. Tallon and Board member; W. Spalding. <br />II. REVLEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: The Planning Commission minutes dated <br />February 13, 2001 have been submitted for approval. <br />R. Koeth motioned to approve the Planning Commission minutes dated February 13, 2001 as <br />written. The motion was seconded by K. O'Rourke and unanimously approved. <br />III. BUILDING DEPARTMENT REQUESTS: <br />1. Litehouse Pools: 25601 Lorain Road <br />Proposal consists of an addition to the existing building. Note: Planning Commission gave a <br />favorable recommendation to the Board of Zoning Appeals on 2/13/01. Board of Zoning <br />Appeals granted variances on 3/1/01. Chairman Koeth called all interested parties forward to review the proposal. Pat Goold, with <br />Litehouse Pools, and Steve Schill, the architect, came forward to_review the proposal. Mr. <br />Schill commented that they went before the Board of Zoning Appeals and presented to them a <br />revised site plan, which included the Planning Commission's recommendations. They shaved 7 <br />feet off of the west side of the building. The Board of Zoning Appeals reviewed all of the <br />requested variances and aranted all of them. Mr. Koeth questioned if the cut would still be on <br />Bailey Rd. Mr. Schill replied yes. Mr. Koeth questioned if the addition would have the same <br />building materials as the existing building, so as to match. Mr. Schill replied yes. Mr. Schill <br />commented that someone brought up the fence in the southwest corner as maybe being a <br />problein. Mr. Conway commented that there would be some sight restrictions at the end of <br />the driveway. Mr. Schill suggested that they could drop the fence down to about 3-ft. high at <br />the last 25 feet, which is similar to what they have on the opposite side. Mr. Hreha <br />questioned if the 8 ft. spruce trees that are depicted in the drawings would cause site <br />restrictions. Mr. Schill commented that they are probably not going to use the spruce, but <br />rather some type of flowering tree or something to soften it up for the residents. Mr. Koeth <br />questioned to see if anyone in the audience had comments or their own questions. No one <br />came forward. <br />R.
