C . 1 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />"TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE" <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BUILDING BOARD OF APPEALS <br />MINUTES - JUNE 26, 2003 <br />IN COUNCILS CHAMBERS <br />5:30 P.M. <br />1. ROLL CALL: <br />Chairman Puzzitiello called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Chairman, R. Puzzitiello, Board members; M. Conway, P Engoglia and N. <br />Althen. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Building Commissioner D. Conway and Clerk of Commissions D. Rote. <br />ABSENT: Board member R. Klesta. <br />II. REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF MINUTES: <br />The Board of Building Code of Appeals minutes for June 19, 2003 are submitted for <br />approval. <br />P. Engoglia motion to approve the Board of Building Code of Appeals minutes dated <br />June 19, 2003 as written. M. Conway seeonded the motion, which was unanimously <br />approved. <br />III. OLD BUSINESS: <br />IV. NEW BUSINESS: <br />1. Josenh Shemo, 4542 Silverdale Road, WRD 1 <br />A variance to place a 25-foot length of 6-foot high board on board fence (1369.03 (3)). <br />General requirements; Where a neighbor has already installed a fence along a property line <br />an additional fence will not be permitted. <br />Chairman Puzzitiello called all interested parties forward to review the request. Mr. & Mrs. <br />Shemo came forward to review their request. Mr. Engoglia suggested that the applicants <br />indicated that there would be a 1'/z foot distance between the two fences so it can be <br />maintained. Mr. Shemo indicated that the fence would be from the garage to the corner for <br />privacy only. <br />P. Engoglia motion to approve Joseph Shemo of 4542 Silverdale Road his request for a <br />variance to place a 25-foot length of 6-foot high board on board fence with the <br />stipulation that there is to be a minimum distance between the fences of 18 inches <br />(1369.03 (3)). M. Conway seconded the motion which was unanimously approved. <br />2 Bettv Timberlake - Lighthouse Pools; 4482 Ranchview: WRD 1 <br />A variance to leave pool approximately 8-feet horizontally from overhead power line. <br />National Electrical Code article 680.8-table requires a minimum of 10-foot horizontal <br />clearance. Or 25-foot on a diagonal from the surface of the water. <br />Chairman Puzzitiello called all interested parties forward to review the request. Mr. <br />Coughlin, with Lighthouse Pools and Ms. Tintelnot one of the owners of the home came <br />forward to review the request. Mr. Engoglia questioned who was constructing the fence and <br />if a permit was granted. Ms. Tintelnot indicated that she had a permit for the fence and it
