OLD BUSINESS:
IV. NEW BUSINESS:
1. Thomas Wickert: 5177 Coluanbia Road:
A variance for not removing concrete floor of pool which is in violation of section: (1365.01).
Mr. Wickert the owner came forward indicated that they purchased his wives grandparents
home which had a concrete pool and it is about 1'/z foot thick. Due to the on going expenses
and problems with the pool they would like to remove it completely. The board advised the
applicants that if the floor remained and the owner's back filled the whole the ground would
turn into quicksand. The board asked the applicant to work with them by breaking up the
entire floor of the pool by 50%, if the applicant agreed they would inspect the work and allow
the applicant to return. The Building Commissioner advised the applicant to speak with the
Engineering Department about grading. The board advised the applicant that a 90-pound
jackhammer on a compressor would work to break up the floor better than a 60-pound. Mr.
Wickert agreed to bust up 50% of the entire pool floor.
R. Klesta moved to table Thomas Wickert of 5177 Columbia ltoad for 60 days, then
applicant will return showing pool floor busted up or crushed. M.
